Anonymous October 22, 2009 - 11:49am | *p00f* I had this idea a while ago and finally getting around to doing something about it! Below are some ideas for T-shirts. I don't know how many different T's we can have...depends on the setup costs (which I have not researched yet). I also plan on asking our awesome artist to help with some designs.
POSTED IDEAS FRONT: FRONT: I survived the Volturnus Expedition (needs a pic) BACK: I also mind linked with a Ul-Mor (pic of an ul-mor mind linking with a human?) BACK: (Star Frontiers Font) Join the Revival @ http://starfrontiers.us FRONT: Black shirt, sf.us header images vertically arranged BACK: (Star Frontiers Font) Join the Revival @ http://starfrontiers.us FRONT: Pic of Yaz wearing sungoggles "Top 11 reasons to be a Yazirian; #3We wear sungoggles during the day. Not because the sun affects our vision, but when you're cool like us the sun shines all the time. " In addition I would add most of SS post with slight modifications to the wording (make it family friendly). SS would be credited on the T-Shirt, OK? BACK: (Star Frontiers Font) Join the Revival @ http://starfrontiers.us with the addition of Imperial Lord's comment AND any other's we can fit on the shirt; Davorean Ledermin, "Elegant Eleven for Yazirians. Everyone else goes to ten, we're better because we go to eleven. Philosphy from the Spinal Tap clan" 11. We were here first. The rest of y'all migrated. Borlo Gorulo, "We all know that the Dralasites are the best - Humans are boring, Vrusk are too stiff, and Yazirians too Klingon-like." 1. Never have to figure out what to wear. 2. Can roll about in a ball (Very useful for hills!) 3. Blobbiness great for looking around corners. 4. Can be nicknamed "Flex" 5. Have names like "Borlo" and "Dorboru" - compare that with the Vrusk names! 6. Sniffing out liars 7. Can eat/drink with hands - or any other part. 8. Can identify people from their funk. 9. Strong and staminous 10. That awesome third leg. FRONT: 20 or so avatar's of our top members (50 if I do front and back) BACK:(Star Frontiers Font) Join the Revival @ http://starfrontiers.us FRONT: GJD's updated Knight Hawks cover form Issue 11 BACK: Some other image on the back with Join the Revival! (Rum Rogue in chat) FRONT: Some have wandered so far from the frontier they just cant find the way back. Let us help. JOIN THE REVIVAL ! BACK: I'm sure the back of the shirt should have more than Join the Revival. |
w00t (not verified) November 7, 2009 - 1:46pm | EDIT: So will I need a plug in or new soft ware to view the holo- corder version of issue 13? Only if you have enough Function Points. :-P |
umungus November 8, 2009 - 10:00am | i think the shirt design needs to be kept simple. Like a simple image. I'm not into having web addresses plastered on my shirt. Kind of tacky. Just my opinion. We need tp know what type of printing process will be used. If it is silk screen we need a simple one color design. If it is a decal transfer then we can use something more like a photograph. Like the issue 13 cover. At least I got to scare an alien rabbit thingy...... |
Imperial Lord November 9, 2009 - 3:31pm | Wow - that is one of the BEST Star Frontiers pieces of artwork ever made. Maybe THE best!!! Who is the artist? |
w00t (not verified) November 9, 2009 - 9:15pm | Maybe THE best!!! Who is the artist? Jim Burns http://www.alisoneldred.com/artistJimBurns.html |
Shadow Shack November 12, 2009 - 5:09pm | That is a cool piece of artwork...but I have to expose one critique of it (which should make for a killer T as well): |
jedion357 November 12, 2009 - 9:01pm | You know that cover looks like something you'd find on a book store shelf. Totally first class. Keep more of that coming! I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
w00t (not verified) November 12, 2009 - 9:01pm | SS, that would be RIGHT turns. |
Shadow Shack November 13, 2009 - 5:13am | Right turns if inverted (in which case they'd all simply fall out for lack of restraint belts LOL)...turning left throws you to the right. Try it in a parking lot... |
w00t (not verified) November 13, 2009 - 12:32pm | Right turns if inverted (in which case they'd all simply fall out for lack of restraint belts LOL)...turning left throws you to the right. Try it in a parking lot... Errr... ya I was thinking "for the door to fall off". I think I'll use this cover for #14. I believe one of our contributing artists may have a cover read for #13. |
jedion357 November 14, 2009 - 6:14am | I think I'll use this cover for #14. I believe one of our contributing artists may have a cover read for #13. woot's a cover tease! I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
w00t (not verified) December 14, 2009 - 8:56am | Update.
|
CleanCutRogue December 14, 2009 - 9:43am | I like this idea - and would buy a shirt or two myself, w00t! I do worry a bit about legal stuff regarding this though. I'm no lawyer, but I think we can get away with using the logo as long as we reference the game from which it comes and not use it purely as an advertisement for our site(s), right? I dunno... comments? 3. We wear sungoggles during the day. Not because the sun affects our
vision, but when you're cool like us the sun shines all the time. |

w00t (not verified) December 18, 2009 - 7:23am | OH MY GOODNESS!!! Sooooo sweet. The Yaz on the hover cycle is the bomb! I think we have anthor artist for the webzine. |
GJD January 1, 2010 - 6:31pm | I have the hovercycle model already. Just need to build a Yaz now. Hmm. Fur. Wings. <sigh> |
w00t (not verified) January 4, 2010 - 9:25am | I have the hovercycle model already. Just need to build a Yaz now. Hmm. Fur. Wings. <sigh> Can I get a sneak peek? :-) |
GJD January 11, 2010 - 5:47pm | The hovercycle is in the SF art section here: http://starfrontiers.us/node/1661 The Yaz is still in my head. G. |
jedion357 January 13, 2013 - 5:02am | Whatever happened with this? What if we did a shirt and padded its cost with a little extra money that would go to a charity and asked WotC for prermission? Tough to say no when its for charity. Perhaps tie it to an event? the yaz on the hovercycle is really bad assed. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
