jedion357 June 27, 2017 - 12:39pm | Refer to: Demilitarized/Surplus Assault Scout. I like this material and: It should go into the magazine. Maybe with some random tables for options on engines no engines. maybe a random table that is a "Car Fax" document but for a starship. Nearly destroyed in 3 space battles and rebuilt each time, serious fatigue to ships structure. -1 HP and may not use maximum ADF even if engines are fully restored, etc. Glitches and such. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |

Shadow Shack July 4, 2017 - 3:45pm | Sourcing my Standardized Ship Computers submission in the House Rules Wiki project: > Astrogation, Drive, and Life Support as the KH rulebook states > Alarm and Damage Control, LVL = # of drives as per KH rulebook > Maintenance, like above LVL = # of drives > Analysis, LVL = Astrogation program LVL (LVL:6 for Deluxe astrogation equipment) > Industry, LVL:1 for machine shop and hydroponics, may also replace cargo arm program
Since the Drive program has been purged we can toss that one from the list. Also figure the Information Storage and various Security programs have also been purged to keep sensitive information out of civilian/enemy hands, hence the surviving Demilitarized Scout software package would look something like this:
Alarm (2) Analysis (4) Astrogation (4) Damage Control (2) Industry (1) Life Support (1, for 8-12 crew) Maintenance (2) That comes out to 47 function points or a level:3 mainframe. Figure the purged software makes up at least another 100 function points and you get a mainframe that is capable of storing another 153 function points without having to spring for the larger mainframe to achieve a level:4 computer so you get a lot of wiggle room for upgrading the software package. Also figure four Control Panels are also include: one each in the helm, astrogation, & engineering stations as well as the main computer access station. |
