jedion357 February 16, 2017 - 9:12pm | Refer to: HWIS Planeteer. It seems Shadow and I were working on this and posting it simultaneously. I named the ship class the Galley Class heavy lift shuttle and the Hepplewhite ship was the Hepplewhite Dream. Oft called "the Dream" by the crew. major difference is the Planeteer is ion powered and the Dream is chem rocket powered. I actually like the name Planeteer. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
jedion357 February 16, 2017 - 9:20pm | I googled ship class names for cargo ships and got Cog which sounded stupid so I thought Galleon but those ships really sailed the oceans so not so good for a system ship and then it became Galley Class. A Galleon Class would have engines that let it travel interstellar. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
Shadow Shack February 23, 2017 - 7:35pm | The Medieval Cog was a rather decent design which would later evolve into more "modern" sailing ships (such as the Black Pearl, USS Constitution, etc), sadly the name would eventually refer to gears instead of ships. |
