 January 18, 2014 - 8:57pm | TerlObar and I have been recycled by this fellow at (1022,1393) and (1030, 1389). My stations (RS and SY) are now way down at (631,2421). I have started my RS back to a star I hold just south of (1022,1393) and my SY to a star just to the north west. What do we want to do with this guy? I have 800 juggernaughts with a +55 commander near by to retaliate. I can send some others up as well with a +70 commander. -iggy |
 August 28, 2014 - 7:13am | Which of course, from the designer's point of view, is great as selling platinum is how he makes money off the game. It just makes it no fun for the rest of us. I agree with iggy, there is little joy left in playing. I'll probably build myself back up to 2nd or 3rd place on the leader board and then just walk away. I have plenty of other things to consume my time with. Ad Astra Per Ardua!  August 28, 2014 - 9:12am | Sigh! I cannot dispute any of this and yet its hard to abandon the game but you are right about Platnum kings and their fodder. I've sent Tim Drester a letter and I'll follow the two of you in abandoning the game. Abount mid September I'm going to move all of my stations to one property completly obscuring it with the pile of stations and position my turrets around it, just in case I ever decide to return to the game. In fact silo, Research and trade station are all on their way to one property. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |

Seriously, I'm good. i've enjoyed the game. It has an appeal to me since I'm a huge fan of the Civilization games by Sid Mier having played every incarnation fo that game up to 4th edition including the monochrome version called Empire that was basically a computer version or Axis and Allies and Civilization Call to Power which was seriously cool but not a sid mier game since he and Activision parted company an is now known as simply Call to Power. I just located my old copies of Age of Empires 2 and Tropico Mucho Macho Edition which are both build your empire kind of games and I might see if they work on this computer. Do not feel bad, i had forgotten that I had wanted to quit this game as I made peace with holding low value properties and playing a farming style of game. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
