Militia ShipsMilitia
ships in their home system must make at least one attack FROM at least one ship (fire one weapon
at one enemy ship) before breaking off combat. UPF Spacefleet ships never
are required to attack.
Armed Stations and Fortified Stations Automatically DestroyedSince the Sathar ships have EB and PB type weapons, they can pound an armed station while staying out of range of the stations LB. After combat is resolved between ships in the system the station is automatically destroyed.
However, if the Sathar do not have those weapons, those Stations must be destroyed normally.
Fleeing Ships and Risk Jumping Ships that choose to flee can declare Risk Jumping before entering a transit box.
Moving and Firing
Ships that move during a battle on their turn can fire weapons anywhere during their turn. However, defensive fire always takes precedence and defensive hits must be accounted for during the turn.
EXAMPLE
A UPF Light Crusier is moving. It moves 10 hexes towards a Sathar Destroyer, but wants to fire a Laser Battery at a Fighter along the way of its movement path. It may fire anywhere along its movement path at the Fighter, as long as it is in range, of course. However, if the UPF ship enters the firing arc of a Sathar ship during that path, it may be fired on, and the effects of any hits are applied immediately. These hits may prevent the Light Crusier from completing its move, or firing certain weapons.
