ExileInParadise December 10, 2016 - 11:47pm | In Star Frontiers Alpha Dawn p50 "The Frontier Worlds" table lists LFI as the Population code for Lossend. However, F is not defined on page 49 under The Frontier Map, Population and Trade. And, I note, even the SFAD remastered has the LFI code for Lossend I do notice that the F is very near the R... does anyone else think that Lossend's trade code should have been be LRI, and someone typoed? But, before I call it done and dusted... Just to confuse things, Zebulon's lists Lossend as AI, but Dragon 65 "Tote that Barge" says that Lossend imports 10% agriculture from Kdikit and 30% raw materials from Clarion. In the trade codes, the first code listed is the primary production - so why would Lossend import 10% of its primary if Zebulon is correct? And why would it import 30% raw if the LFI was supposed to be LRI instead? Very confused and would like to figure out what the proper population code for Lossend should be. |
Shadow Shack December 11, 2016 - 6:22pm | If the Dragon article was written by a TSR staff member I would weight that as more canon over Zeb's. Even if it was a fan article I would still weight it over Zeb's. ;) |
jedion357 December 16, 2016 - 8:38am | I would say that the guy composing the AD catalog on Page 50 was thinking "farming" and put F instead of A. Zebs actually got it right when it changed it to A. The I represents the TAchton mega corp of course being headquartered there. as to tote that barge and 10% ag good import that just reflects that there are some deficencies and they import these. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
