jedion357 March 3, 2016 - 1:32pm | Wrist-let needler. Worn wrapped around a wrist under a shirt sleeve. When taken off safety the motion of ahand shake activated the firing mechanism, if the firer is shaking hands with the target its +20 to hit. If the firer is unable to shake hands with the target, for whatever reason, he may take the weapon off safety and shake his hand at the target: -10 for PB range, -20 for short, ineffective at greater ranges. Only one shot in weapon. Most users use the sleep needles. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
jedion357 March 3, 2016 - 1:35pm | BTW I would support hold out weapons as freebies for starting PCs. It's inherited or something similar, limited value, limited utility but most players are not happy if their characters don't have a weapon so..... I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
jedion357 March 3, 2016 - 1:48pm | I suppose hidden wrist hold outs should be a separate group with needler, bullet, and gyro-jet editions standard. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |

jedion357 March 3, 2016 - 6:53pm | Don't remember Moonraker well enough. Have to look it up. Saw a cosplay style prop someone worked up from a metal watch band. Interesting. Big difference is that with mine there is an intended ruse of using a handshake as both cover for and method of activation. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
ChrisDonovan March 3, 2016 - 8:03pm | Yeah, Bond uses it to off the Big Bad at the end of the film Great film too. The only one where Bond goes into outer space. |
ChrisDonovan March 4, 2016 - 1:20am | Added needler hold-out. Thanks for the suggestion, jedi! :D |
jedion357 March 4, 2016 - 9:39am | I think I'll work on a zine article on hidden wrist mounted hold out weapons, it would be ideal for a Minzii Marketplace series article. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
