iggy May 31, 2015 - 3:14pm | I'd like to explore what is published (cannon and fan) about Lake Vast the city and the lake on Triad. If nothing is out there I am inclined to think of Lake Vast as a giant lake high up on an equatorial continental plateau where the opposite shore cannot be seen. Lake Vast the city is on one of it's shores and is the location of the world starport because it affords both equatorial assist to orbit and safe weather emergency water landings. The lake is likely formed by tectonic activity and not glacial or volcanic activity. Essentially as the plateau was uplifted by seismic events the land under the lake was not uplifted. I picture a series of waterfalls allowing the lake to drain to the coastal zones on one corner with a long series of rivers and green jungle below it. I picture the lake as large as all the great lakes combined. -iggy |
jedion357 May 31, 2015 - 4:45pm | I've worked on pulling together cannon materail on Traid here: http://sfus.starfrontiers.info/node/5789 I like your supposition that lake vast is so vast that you cannot see the other side, that its equitorial and a major star port. EDIT: What direction are you going with this? I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
iggy May 31, 2015 - 6:44pm | I'm using it for the location of the first Hako Gasar murder. I thought I would explore the location to work out who the first victim is and what the motive would be. -iggy |

iggy May 31, 2015 - 8:46pm | Maybe I should not tell until I do the police reports on him. He is not new, I'm taking him from a previous story I wrote. This is for my netcon 2015 game session so I don't want players knowing Hako personally. They should find out for themselves in play. -iggy |
