One of my buds wants to get our Star Frontiers Voltrunus adventure going again for Christmas.  We have not played in quite a while and one of the blockers for me was that the encounter we were playing used the forest map and AD counters.  Well, I lost the counters years ago so I was using paper printed copies of the counter from an excel sheet of counters I found on one of the SF sites.  Problem with these is that they are paper thin and hard to pick up or keep in place.  A slight wind in the room would blow the counters all over.  Then worse yet, keeping the counters in place until the next game session a week later was a pain.  Well, the game session kept getting delayed and eventually the pieces were knocked all over the place.  My solution to get the game going again is shown here.

Magnetic AD Counters

I purchased some 1/4 inch magnet tape, cut 1/4 inch pieces and stuck the paper counters to them and put a copy of the AD box map on a metal plate.  Now I am safe from wind and game delays, plus I can easily pick the counters up like the original box set counters.

Nicely done Iggy, two thumbs up.
I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers!

Magnetic Miracles are Magnificent! Cool Nice idea!
Oh humans!! Innocent We discover a galactic community filled with multiple species of aliens, and the first thing we think about is "how can we have sex with them?".

Great idea...but please tell me you didn't cut up your Port Loren map.
I'm not overly fond of Zeb's Guide...nor do I have any qualms stating why. Tongue out

Laughing
Oh the sacrilege!  My Port Loren map is in dire shape as it is.  I stuck it on a color copy machine.  We realy need PDFs of the back of the map for inclusion in the remastered Voltrunus modules.

The map is scanned as part of the PDF download on the starfrontiers.com site.  Although I probably should rescan one of my pristine maps to make really good ones.
