The other day, while discussing art with an artist I summed up the Star Frontiers enemy races as: worms, flies and spiders for the Sathar, Zurraquor, and Klikk. One wonders if that was intentional. You could collectiving call them bugs. They practically designed to trigger feelings of revulsion in people. So if we were on the committee for developing a new game, what trio could we come up with that could match the Star Frontiers trio?
I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers!

Wracking my brain for a creature that triggers an atavistic reaction in me and so far 2 come to mind- snakes and roaches, oops- mice too. Im a little afraid of snakes. Absolutely can't stand mice and roaches in my house- which is one of the reasons that I became a cat person suddenly after twenty years on not being one. I suppose octopi and squid are kind of creepy too- HP Lovecraft and a generation of Japanese animators might be onto something there.

Even though the Mechnons fought on the side of Righteousness in the one module they appeared in, Zebs clearly intended them as foils and which of us doesn't like killer robots unless our name is John Connor, of course. Killer bots work for me- love WH40K Necrons (also love that I didn't pay for mine either). Love the implacableness of the Borg,"You will be assimilated."
