 February 1, 2011 - 3:12pm | Dralasites are a fun loving race and even their weapons have a humorous side to them. Case in point the Dralasite Spasm gauntlet. These heavy gray mittens are covered with a web of molecule thin fibres that are attached to a small powercell that provides the gauntlet with ten Seu worth of power enough for ten successful hits, and can be recharged at any power outlet. A sucessful melee attack with the gauntlet on a Dralasite causes no damage, but requires the Dralasite make a 1/2 Stamina check or be incapasitated for 1-5 rounds, as they lose control of their body's ability to maintain a cohesive form. During the period of incapasity the Dralasite's body will spasm and ooze often reshaping itself in interesting ways. once the effects wear off the Dralasite suffers a temporary reduction to his Dex/RS of -10 and can produce no more than 3 limbs at a time. this effect lasts for 1-2 hours after being stunned.  February 1, 2011 - 6:26pm | Like it. :-) In my opinion, 1-5 rounds isn't enough time for the dral to gel. It takes 300 turns to grow a leg or arm, I would say 100 - 150 turns to start loosing cohesiveness. |
February 1, 2011 - 6:41pm | I was trying to make the weapon affective in a combat situation, though Dralasites might find it funny tapping some poor Blob and then following him around for a while to watch him become a pool of goo at the most inopportune moment. I guess that would fit in with their quirky sense of humor, but wouldn't make for an effective Dralasite racial weapon.
