Anonymous January 25, 2011 - 8:41am | Last night Bill, his nephew Brian and I play-tested vehicle combat rules for FrontierSpace using the Port Loren map. Wow, I have not played on this map for a long time. What a blast! The result of the test was successful - just need to write-up the results and re-test a few items. And the dice roll that won the scenario! CRITICAL SUCCESS, oh ya! |
SMKSensei January 25, 2011 - 5:22pm | Cool! I look forward to the findings! |
Merc January 31, 2011 - 1:06pm | That's pretty cool. I haven't played on any maps for Star Frontier in a long time. The critical success must have been pretty sweet. When it rains it pours, I swear! "Who knows where those Star Wars Online coupons are hiding?" |
w00t (not verified) January 31, 2011 - 4:07pm | Map crafted by Bill - full 24x36". Hopefully we get to re-test the vehicle system tonight. :-) |
SMKSensei January 31, 2011 - 7:09pm | Beautiful! I thought it was an IC board at first! |
w00t (not verified) February 2, 2011 - 8:30pm | Playtesting vehicle rules on Bill's new Totally Awesome map. We invited Jim to help. Jim - Corporate grade ground car with armor and turret mounted autolaser. Bill - Security grade ground cycle Larry - Civilian ground car, two passengers with auto-rifles. Scenario - Jim and crew picked up a VIP from the sports center. Bill and I were waiting... Jim took off acting normal, I came around the corner blazing auto fire. A hit, but his armor held. Bill meanwhile was on the other side of the map waiting to cut Jim off. As Jim rounded a corner my yazirian lept from an adjacent building, landing on Jim's vehicle, grabbing the turret for stability and unloading an auto pistol in an open slot of the vehicle casing 7pts of damage to everyone inside. Oh yay! Jim fired his auto laser twice at my car, turning it into swiss cheese. Bill tried a fancy maneuver and flipped his bike over and over. #goodtimes |
