Hello all,

I'm new here and mostly play games other than Star Frontiers.  However, a few months ago, I ran a Star Frontiers game to play test the game for a review in a column called "Lost Game Safari" for Knights of the Dinner Table Magazine.  I had a great time playing "Crash on Volturnus" with people who had played little except 4th Edition D&D.  The journal can be found here:

http://blog.myspace.com/max_writer

You'll have to pan down or check out the archives as it was back in July 2009.  There are quite a few details as I audio record all my game sessions now.

I got to play Star Frontiers with my kids tonight (first session in many months).  They finally made it out of the caves on Volturnus.  You can read the game report on my Star Frontiers Lives On blog.

There will probably be more soon as they've been bitten by the RPG bug (one of my twins has been running a little RPG game he made up with monsters and pokemon.  He sets up maps, has monsters attack, gives out quests, etc.  The rules are fairly arbitrary but you just go with the flow and it's fun to watch them.)  Our next session will be a fantasy session to appease my 14 year old (she would much rather play her wizard) but then we'll be back to SF.

Paranoia is one of the games I always wanted to try but back in the day I never got my hands on a copy and these days I've ebay'd for copy but haven't found players.
I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers!

Hey w00t.  Unfortunately, for the most part, though I audio record all my games now, they are not really available online.  At least not the games I play in.  I do have a place online that was generously leant me by one of the Pen & Paper guys and I've placed several of the games I've run there (INCLUDING STAR FRONTIERS!).  The other audio games are on my computer and might (might) someday end up on the site as well, though downloading them takes a lot of time and slows my computer down drastically.

However, I have posted the games I've run there in the last ... wow ... two years. I'm downloading the Stormbringer game I ran Saturday there right now and it should be complete by 2:45 p.m. EST.  Here's the site:

http://www.zanysite.com/maxwriter/

I ran the Stormbringer RPG Saturday to playtest it for a review. Good times. The journal entry can be found in four parts on my MySpace blog, a single part at Pen & Paper games, or as a single part in my FaceBook notes. Here are the links:

http://www.myspace.com/max_writer/blog
http://www.penandpapergames.com/forums/blog.php/8662-Max_Writer

Characters were:

Darlanden: Filkar Hunter
Uldrid: Ilmioran Sailor
Iskar Scrab: Eshmir Beggar

and later:

Gilderoy: Isle of the Purple Towns Sailor
