Anonymous April 1, 2009 - 2:22pm | Before you answer: o What are you doing personally with SF? o What is your gaming group doing? o What resources would help you play, GM or promote SF? o I know there are questions out there, send them to the zine!!!! o The new project, FrontierSpace, anything you want to see in the zine? w00t says, "Say it don't spray it." |
Ascent April 16, 2009 - 12:13pm | The Star Frontiers setting was available through d20 Future (marginally). Top Secret was probably available through the d20 Modern core rules. (I don't know, I never played Top Secret.) The d100 system was dumped by TSR to focus on d20 products. PDFs of Star Frontiers and Top Secret were never available through "Drive Thru Rpg" or "RPG Now". The WOTC sections of these two sites are completely gone. As far as I know, neither of these two games were ever officially available as PDFs from WOTC. View my profile for a list of articles I have written, am writing, will write. Will April 17, 2009 - 7:57am | The TS:SI setting's available as a third-party d20 sourcebook(Spyhunters or something along those lines, I think it was titled), but not as anything official from Whizzards(it's not in the Modern core book at all). "You're everything that's base in humanity," Cochrane continued. Shadow Shack April 21, 2009 - 9:57pm | I just realized I had already submitted the other Basically Speaking game review (it's in issue 10). I just submitted a trio of things including a Dominion adventure log, a new Frontier map, and a new Page 3 Gal that wasn't seen here. Hmm...SFman site won't permit more than three submissions, try again in an hour. |
Will April 22, 2009 - 4:07pm | Submitted some FS fiction, working on Last Of the Breed, part 3. "You're everything that's base in humanity," Cochrane continued. "Drawing up strict, senseless rules for the sole reason of putting you at the top and excluding anyone you say doesn't belong or fit in, for no other reason than just because you say so." —Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stephens, Federation |
Ascent April 22, 2009 - 8:37pm | I've got the pin-up covered. I've had a couple of sketches sitting in my pile for some time. One of them was inspired by the image shown earlier about a year ago. Nothing naughty, just sexy. View my profile for a list of articles I have written, am writing, will write. "It's yo' mama!" —Wicket W. Warrick, Star Wars Ep. Gergmaster April 23, 2009 - 2:33pm | An SF cartoon would be cool... just can't draw. Confucious Says: Man with one chopstick go hungry. Man who eat many prunes get good run for money. Man who live in glass house should change clothes in basement. |
Gargoyle2k7 April 26, 2009 - 6:14am | What are you doing personally with SF? o I have no group... o I really have all I need, except players... o Is there dralasite porn? I mean, how... what... um?? o I haven't looked at it yet... OK, what I'd like to see in SF 12 and beyond: New creatures. Star System Briefs. Weapons, armor, gear, vehicles, robots. Adventures, or at least hooks. Cultural essays on the various races. Go more in depth into dral, vrusk, yaz philosophies, religions, customs, etc. Laws (see my Crime and Punishment project). And many of the items mentioned by others above. But please, no dralasite porn. Long live the Frontier! |
w00t (not verified) April 26, 2009 - 4:29pm | Of all the mentioned items.. anyone have something to submit? (Even if it needs work) Geocities is closing which means we might loose some SF material out there. If you see something on the 'net you can submit it and we'll give credit to the Author. At this point there are not many new submissions. After Issue 12 we will be begging for more material. |
umungus April 26, 2009 - 10:01pm | o What are you doing personally with SF? Playing a bit. Coming up with new rules and gadgets for the game. o What is your gaming group doing? Not much now. A year and a half campaign kind of fell apart. Darn work getting in the way of fun. o What resources would help you play, GM or promote SF? Adventure/ Scenario ideas. o I know there are questions out there, send them to the zine!!!! o The new project, FrontierSpace, anything you want to see in the zine? I think combining them in Frontiersman would be cool. Why split resources? At least I got to scare an alien rabbit thingy...... |
Fu-Man_Chu May 2, 2009 - 10:49am | Just sent in my submission for #12 - variant laser pistols for you all! 8-) Coming up with some ideas for running a long-term SF game. Also, tinkering with putting out a Star Frontiers 2nd edition. The idea being, refresh it a little in look (like the Remastered did), as well as rules, while keeping it fully compatible with all the AD stuff out there right now. I'd like to run my group through all the mods I already have, and the stuff that's out there.
Unfortunately, I moved away, so not getting a chance to play with my home group very much (only seeing them every 2 months or so now 8-(... But, the last 3 times, I've been running them through Starmist as we weren't very interested in changing from D&D 3.5 to D&D 4.
Premade adventures!

parriah May 21, 2009 - 11:10am | I have been following the two people who contact each other by ad's on the last page of the Frontiersman and then try to kill each other, since issue #1. They didn't appear in 11. I'd like to see them again. Groko and Tordia were the names I think FIAWOL
