Anonymous November 2, 2007 - 7:43pm | Though the article in Star Frontiersman #7 mentions the chat room, it does not show an example of how the chat room indicators work. Below is a presentation of the chat room in use. First, the Chat tab is found at the top of the page, and the chat indicators at the bottom left as shown: Next, you will note the orange and green indicators. The orange indicators simply shows that the member is online. The Green indicators, however, show that the member is in the chat room at the moment you loaded the page. If a member get's dropped from the room through inactivity, the indicator will remain on for 10 minutes until the member's name is cycled out of the chat room list because they're no longer on. If you show up thinking there's someone there, but you find no one is really there, this is probably why, or they just logged out right before you entered. We encourage you to visit the chat room often. If no one is in the chat room, but you would like a conversation, enter the chat room so that others can see you are in there, and then wait for them to arrive. These indicators greatly increase the popularity of the chat room. I hope I'll see you all there often. |
