I know (from your excellent description of the project's scope on the front page) that your application is designed for a connection between two TCP/IP computers (or on the same computer - "hot swap" I assume).  I was just curious how you planned to accomplish playing over the internet?  Most folks don't know their publicly-available IP address.  Heck - most people don't even know what an IP address is :-P

If you'd like, I could place server-side script on these servers that can reply a client's public IP address back to your code, or if you planned on having internet-based server software so that everyone played as a client application, I could provide whatever you need.  Because I'm very interested in playing this application, I will offer whatever is necessary to help you out.

(additional motive: in order to have a site that accommodates every type of SF-based project, I need to be able to provide solutions for something like this project).

A server to coordinate the clients would make life much easier for me.  I'll give it some more thought (an research).

My biggest concern is people's firewalls.  I can see this board getting a lot of "how do I" requests.

Probably, yes.  People generally don't know about how to whitelist a domain for their firewall - or how to do port forwarding in their routers... or whatever.  But there are techy enough people on this site that people will help out.

Love yer icon btw!!
