Howdy SFers, just found my way in here. Gotta look around yet...but also wanted to announce a play by post game I'm starting up. Woot/simple is already in, we have room for two more players:

"An authoritative dominion has siezed control of the Frontier and disbanded the UPF, replacing the Council of Worlds with a galaxy-wide dictatorship. Thirty years later, there is some civil unrest..."

A new Play-by-post game opening soon, for 4-8 players. Pregenerated characters are to be used, with a fair variety between them. A pair of historic battle re-enactments will lead into the main game.

The main game is set in the year 111f.y. as it has been written in my own campaign. In a nutshell, I rewrote the "history" from Zebulon's Guide which this campaign is based. Several of the other PBP games I've hosted have touched on this history (most particularly the now defunct Wing Commander game, but Space Rats is paralleling one of the historic battles right now).

You can view the time line (edited for this particular game) that my campaign follows here:

I'm not overly fond of Zeb's Guide...nor do I have any qualms stating why. Tongue out

Welcome to the testing grounds, Shadow Shack. This site is about reviving the game. It hasn't been officially announed. We're still working out some kinks. This is Bill Logan's (CleanCutRogue, Remasterered!) big project.

When you comb through the project pages you'll see that people have the opportunity to develop projects with varying levels of participation chosen by the project's manager(s).

Look around and get comfortable. You're at the ground floor of the next big thing.

Keep it quiet, though, I think Bill still wants it on the down-low.

Ah okay...I don't kno nuthin' LOL

I have some stuff from the other forums I can donate to the cause (some stuff on cybernetics, a write up of vehicle modifications I'm working on, Yazirian clans, etc...)

Hey what's up with the big gap between the header and the content?

You might need to update your browser. Older browsers don't play nice with the newer programming. Or are you talking about all the space taken up by the post buttons?

If you have an older browser, you might want to update to IE7 or Firfox2

I'm off to bed. Goodnight.

I had a lot of problems with both IE7 and Firefox. Guess I'll cope with the big gap.

Nocturnal cycle...yeah the sun's about to pop up over the horizon here. Might be a good idea as I gotta work later today.

Welcome!!!

I'm happy you stumbled on the site.  Hope it'll be ready for release soon.

The gap you're experiencing is sadly something I can't fix... It involves CSS and the way in which browsers interpret some of the newer style commandsets.  They're cool because they allow me to do more with less bandwidth - but unfortunately ya gotta be up to date.  FF works fine, and so does IE7.  I'm not sure about other browsers - but  I think w00t uses Opera now and then just to test things out.

I'd love if you could start a project or two regarding some of the great stuff I've seen from you.  Some of it I've used in campaigns I've run over the years!!  You've done some stuff I've stuck in the pages of the Star Frontiersman too... hope ya didn't mind (I credited you!!)

Keep in mind that for now, there are only a handful of testers on the site.  Not too much collaboration going on yet - but I'm hoping we're creating something new and fun that will make people wanna contribute to ongoing projects!!

No. I don't collect comics these days. Back when I did, though, anyone shiny was awesome to me, so that meant ROM, Iron Man, Colossus, and the Silver Surfer.
