 April 2, 2020 - 9:14am | For hypnotism, I'd say it's possible - maybe Vrusks are a bit more adept at performing the tests, given their abilities. The problem would be figuring out what the symptoms might be that would lead to suspecting an individual of being hypnotised. Sathar methods must be pretty complex, as they have developed methods that work on all of the Frontier races AFAIK (not sure about the Mechanons...). |
April 2, 2020 - 11:24am | It also occurs to me that you could use a bio-scanner to see if someone was in the presence of a male phase dralasite reading for the reporductive spore they give off- it would be present on a person who had been in close contact with a male phase dralasite. this would create an oppotunity to track a male phase dral with a bio scanner. The psycho-pathology sub skill Lets the councilor "help characters or creatures that are psychologically disturbed" empathy subskill: provides vague information according to its description I dont know. I like the idea of a psych-social skileld person identifying sathar hypnotism but could see a GM ruling no based on the subskill descriptions what if its like alien tech rule -20 till you are familiar with it? once you've encountered it you can routine spot it?
