I like these but I feel you have to give the rifle something. Its wt. Is 3x that of the pistol for same damage, do why carry it? Up the damage on the rifle.

This item also works as an item of treasure that can be found an sold off back at civilization.

Create a value that is the general going rate and require PCs to haggle using PER check or appropriate skill to determine what the market will bare on the day they are selling. For these I would say the rifle is valued at 1-1.5k depending on condition and the pistol is much more collectible and is generally valued at 2k

Prototypes and a special series of 10 (pistols) that were presented to execs run 100k to 500k.

Well, for one thing, the rifle is x2 the range.  That's a big plus.  But I can tinker...

I'll tinker with it.  Maybe a 2 charge option (4d10 damage/shot)...

I'd think these would not use standard SEU clips.  Owners of these would have to recharge vintage clips or use adapters to standard SEU clips.

Perhaps there is an after market clip that holds a 12 SEU micro disk or what ever it was from Zebs. I looks kind of like a vintage clip but you can slap the power disk into it. To change the power disk you have to eject the whole clip.

They're not.  They're equivalencies for record keeping purposes in combat.  I make that point in the article text.  To recharge them, a Tech has to jury-rig a connection to interface them.  If he screws up, he ruins the weapon.  Either way the connection is then useless for modern devices.
