Some notes on Clarion

First, I realize I may be changing things from both the "official" SF universe and a lot of other fan's ideas thereof.  I invoke full "handwavium" for any inconsistencies.

In my SF universe, Clarion's primary is a K class star, favoring the K/G side of the spectrum slightly over the K/M side (more yellow/yellow-orange than red/yellow-orange).  The primary is slightly more yellow (a more "golden" color) than this:

Royal Marines in their ceremonial armor:

a closeup showing more detail of the armor:

Despite its archaic styling, the Marine ceremonial armor is Light Combat Armor (per those rules).  The sword is a fully functional weapon in its own right, but also has concealed in its hilt an SEU mini-clip with the equivalent of two hits of damage per the electrosword rules, and all Marines are trained in its use.  Typically the Marine also has either a laser or projectile pistol and two clips of ammunition at the small of his back, concealed by the cape/cloak.

The ceremonial armor is only worn for special occasions (such as when participating in  coronations, weddings, etc) and by the Palace Guard.

Design credit to the orignial creators.  Images culled from screencaps I found on-line.

Everything looks good but you do know you need to hand wavium the size of the Royal Marines. They are a rather small force by canon.

Oh you should really a sonic screwdriver. That thing will fix anything.
Sounds like a great job but where did you say we had to go?

I'd already thought of that.  The SF universe I'm putting together to run in is going to be handwaved quite a bit, including things like population sizes, etc.

I take it you've referenced the Clarion Royal Marines Project, too?

Actually, no.  Didn't even know there was one.  I'll take a look though.
