I invoke full "handwavium" for any inconsistencies. In my SF universe, Clarion's primary is a K class star, favoring the K/G side of the spectrum slightly over the K/M side (more yellow/yellow-orange than red/yellow-orange). November 30, 2015 - 1:49pm | Royal Marines in their ceremonial armor: a closeup showing more detail of the armor:  Despite its archaic styling, the Marine ceremonial armor is Light Combat Armor (per those rules). The sword is a fully functional weapon in its own right, but also has concealed in its hilt an SEU mini-clip with the equivalent of two hits of damage per the electrosword rules, and all Marines are trained in its use. Typically the Marine also has either a laser or projectile pistol and two clips of ammunition at the small of his back, concealed by the cape/cloak. The ceremonial armor is only worn for special occasions (such as when participating in coronations, weddings, etc) and by the Palace Guard. Design credit to the orignial creators.
