tomes August 17, 2015 - 1:31pm | Hi kiddos. Just found this site, but maybe it's dead now? I see people online, so who knows... just that the most recent posts are a LONG time ago. Anyways, thought you'd all appreciate this game I made. I call it Distress on Life Liner 928 (LL928; a call back to the old Lego space set). It's a Star Frontiers / Savage Worlds conversion that I run using Legos. So far I've run it over half-a-dozen times at a combination of Stragicon, GoPlayNW, Jackercon, and for friends. Here's the premise: You have just received a distress signal from zoological expedition Life Liner 928. How fortunate! As new members of Scrap and Salvage, this is your bread and butter, and everyone's got to pay their bills, and if you find any survivors, that means bonus credits! The captain has set a direct course. Get your Albedo Screen, your Sonic Disruptor, and a Stimdose ready, for this Star Frontiers / Savage Worlds, space-based, Lego dungeon crawl You are a team of "garbage men" who work for the PGC, and find yourself in the Zebulon system when you receive a distress call from a biological research vessel orbiting Volturnus. The Jackercon online game was recorded in G+ Hangouts, so you can view it to get the flavor, if you want. Here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VcP38Lm7f48 I write more about the game here: http://www.supernovembergames.com/games/, and in a blog post. |
TerlObar August 17, 2015 - 1:40pm | Hey Tomes. Welcome to the site and you must have been looking at really old posts as the forums are active. They've been a little dead of late as we've had domain registration issues (the domain has changed owners) but things are back. I've seen pics of your games on Twitter. Thanks for sharing. iggy August 17, 2015 - 6:16pm | Welcome Tomes. Ya, it summer vacation time so posting is also light for people being gone. This site does tend to mirror yearly holiday seasons. -iggy |
jedion357 August 18, 2015 - 4:42am | No were some of the active torch bearers keeping the SF flame alive but summer time does slow down some. You should check out the resources at www.frontierexplorer.org I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
tomes September 13, 2015 - 7:56pm | Thanks for the responses! Didn't get any email notification, just happened to come back and check... is that something you have to turn on? I'll look around. |
iggy September 13, 2015 - 8:07pm | No, we check the site regularly. This site does not send emails. Poke around. We have several threads of conversation going at the moment. Also look into the project forums as there is conversations going on there too. We use projects to stay organized, not to hide anything. When the site gets really busy it is nice to have things grouped so that it is easier to keep up on threads. As mentioned before summers are slow and so we are now picking up again. -iggy |
