This is something we wished we had years ago. No more large sheets of paper on the table, just a projected map.

one of our players always complains if the lighting isn't bright enough.  lol

but he also talked about working out a projector system

I was doing some research on this before. I downloaded the map programs they were talking about in the article. I only tried one of them. cant remember wich one, It is clunky to use if you have never used it before and I am not a fast learner if it is not intuitive. Most programs are not intuitive enough for me. I almost always need a tutorial or someone to tell me how to do things. Just my 2 cents. It is cool. If you look deeper there are people who are designing and building glass/plexiglass tables with projectors underneath or above to suit different needs. Most of them are built by do it yourselfers. 
The bombing starts in five minutes.
