jedion357 December 8, 2013 - 3:33pm | Anyone remember those books with partial cut away diagrams of aircrafts or ships which had numbers next to systems that let you look up that piece of equipment on a table on the side? This DA artist has been doing those kind of diagrams with famous sci fi space craft http://paul-muad-dib.deviantart.com/ X Wing http://paul-muad-dib.deviantart.com/#/art/Star-Wars-T-65-X-Wing-Fighter-154698478?hf=1 http://paul-muad-dib.deviantart.com/art/Star-Wars-T-65-X-Wing-154698128 Colonial Viper http://paul-muad-dib.deviantart.com/art/Colonial-Viper-T14-in-Color-99448498 there are a slew of Star Trek runabout and Defiant schematics like this I recomend checking his gallery. Here's a personal old school favorite: http://paul-muad-dib.deviantart.com/art/Galileo-Shuttle-131973335 If you have modelled some of the ships in your game on famous small craft from TV and Movies this could be a great resource for a print out used in game. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |

jedion357 December 10, 2013 - 6:11pm | Terl Obar has a carved assault scout. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
TerlObar December 10, 2013 - 11:28pm | It's not finished. And by carved, he literally means whittled out of wood. And it's not a cut away, just a model. I did it in pieces (fuselage, engines, wings) and need to make the joints and glue them together. Some day I'll finish it and post pictures. Ad Astra Per Ardua! Tchklinxa December 11, 2013 - 5:58am | Cool TerlObar... I found a forum months ago on Retro Sci Fi and there are tons of drawings of weapons and lots of carved old school space ship models, very nice what people have made. I like the Omega Destroyer, nice. "Never fire a laser at a mirror." |
