I was thinking of what aliens visiting earth after all of us are gone and discovering a charnal ground dedicated to this practice - what would they think? Its also a template for something really alien to western culture to pattern an alien culture on. Not perhaps for a PC race but for a race that is encountered. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |

Now you do not need to make an alien race to incorporate unique social practices. Take the Yazirians (please just take them) They have at least two religions but maybe a local group has had to adapt the way they do things because it is more practicle. The Family of One with all its neat orderliness probably properly and quickly disposes of remains in a way which incorporates them back into the environment and not have a lasting memory of the individual. Yazirians on other worlds where clan and ancestory is important may keep large cemetaries since they have alot of land on under developed worlds. Sounds like a great job but where did you say we had to go? |
