jedion357 April 12, 2013 - 4:24am | http://rpg.drivethrustuff.com/product/113472/Frontier-Explorer---Issue-4 http://frontierexplorer.org/magazines EXTRA! EXTRA! Read all about it! Hot of the electronic/digital presses, the story of how the saurians came to the Frontier can now be told! I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
Putraack April 12, 2013 - 10:53am | That 2nd link only shows 3 issues? |
jedion357 April 12, 2013 - 11:29am | I'm seeing 4 issues but it could be that its still set up for preview as we send out emails to registered "subscribers" 1 week before pubulication and they can log in and download a preview edition without the covers. This gives them a chance to point out any mistakes or comment on the issue before it goes live. If you are not logged in you wont see the preview edition. I'll ask Tom to check on it. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
TerlObar April 12, 2013 - 11:39am | Yes, I forgot to make issue 4 "public". Sorry about that. It has now been fixed. Enjoy! Ad Astra Per Ardua! Ascent April 12, 2013 - 1:14pm | You're doing a good job of maintining the Popular Science look of the covers. View my profile for a list of articles I have written, am writing, will write. "It's yo' mama!" —Wicket W. Warrick, Star Wars Ep. VI: Return of the Jedi "That guy's wise." —Logray, Star Wars Ep.VI: Return of the Jedi Do You Wanna Date My Avatar? - Felicia Day (The Guild) |
TerlObar April 12, 2013 - 1:23pm | You're right, they do kind of look like Pop Sci covers. Having not read a Pop Sci magazine in years (decades?) I hadn't really thought of that but there definitely is a resemblance. Ad Astra Per Ardua! jedion357 April 12, 2013 - 2:51pm | We also just happen to be getting some artist with commercial credits to their name, for instance the most recent cover artist has worked in the RPG industry for 30 years and did artwork for Traveller back in the day. I need to be careful right now lest I dislocate my arm trying to pat myself on the back over getting him to donate artwork but i do believe that is 3 in a row now for cover artist with commercial artwork. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
Identity Crisis April 13, 2013 - 1:24am | Downloaded. Thanks for all the hard work. It is much appreciated. |
Putraack April 15, 2013 - 6:18pm | Looks good, thanks for all the work. |
jedion357 April 22, 2013 - 3:42am | I was just reminded of how important it is to have the support of artists and I want to thank AZ Gamer for his support of the zine. AZ rocks. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
Karxan April 22, 2013 - 7:25pm | I just finished Issue #4 and you guys did a good job. Thanks for all the effort. Jedion, WE both can thank AZ Gamer for all of the art he has provided for both ezines all these years, and with out a hesitation either. He does Rock. |
rattraveller April 23, 2013 - 6:36pm | Finally finished issue #4. Loved the whole Saurian theme and the tie ins to the other articles. The Subspace Radios, Animal Handling, Gear Up and Infita were good. The Talnor looks to be a good addition to the fleet especially if armed with MAYHEM. Unfortunately the weak point of the magazine was Love and Atomic Rockets. The 38 grammatical and wrong word errors I found made it painful to read. The ending of the mysterious mega-corp guys bribing everything alright does not sit very well with me. Some other plot problems but it showed great style and a rewrite can easily tighten up the problems. Sounds like a great job but where did you say we had to go? |
