Universal
Households UniHo specializes in three distinct areas: textiles
and clothing, household furnishings, and buildings. Their synthetic apparel
resists grime and wear and is inexpensive. Therefore UniHo made sure it
controls the fashion industry; though made to last longer, their apparel goes
out of style yearly. UniHo furnishings are usually made of plastic or plasteel and
are modular in design. Any piece of valuable furniture, such as real wood
pieces, are usually made by a sub-contractor. UniHo buildings are prefab dwellings,
offices, industrial and professional facilities, and so forth. Specialty
buildings are expansive and are designed and constructed by architectural
engineers. Headquarters: Hyyay, Hakosoar, Scree Fron Chief Executive: K'an Ku (Vrusk) Subsidiaries: Two massive ones: Planetary Structures
Inc., and Kotiz Fashions Inc. OK let’s start with an agreement. We are going to
switch Trans Travel and UniHo. Trans Travel is HQed on the Vrusk world of Terledrom
and led by Yazirians. These guys are led by a Vrusk on a Yazirian world. I am
not prejudice and you can live and work where you want but Trans Travel is
supposed to be a government sponsored megacorp. This way makes much more sense.
Agreed. Great sign the documents and get them notarized. I have
another agreement to make with all of you. We’re are going to pick that little
blurb to pieces and get us a correct entry. Therefore UniHo made sure it
controls the fashion industry; though made to last longer, their apparel goes
out of style yearly Yes
bring on the run ways for clothes which are cheap and designed to last for
years. Wait does that make sense? We are talking T-shirts and jeans that you
need to replace yearly. Also which year are we talking about? The standard UPF
year is not even a season change on some worlds? Do the humans on Gollywog a
very wet world want the same cheap clothes as those on the desert world of
Kraatar or the domed cities on Outer Reach? UniHo furnishings are usually
made of plastic or plasteel and are modular in design. Any piece of valuable furniture,
such as real wood pieces, are usually made by a sub-contractor. Going by
the other entries we can begin to get a picture of what these guys are really
like. All of their products are cheap and durable and modular and
pre-fabricated. These guys are the Walmart of megacorps who took their profits
and bought Versace and whoever does fancy furniture. UniHo buildings are prefab dwellings,
offices, industrial and professional facilities, and so forth. Specialty buildings are expansive They
then took control of the building industry by putting up the low income housing
and colony start ups. Then when things got settled beings came back to them to
build bigger, nicer and fancier buildings, UniHo took the contract and they
take the time for long view and start from scratch design. But when you want
something really big; stadiums, spaceports, domed cities they will turn you
over to their subsidiary Also that last word should be expensive not expansive. Now for
the different departments in the UniHo mega corp: Clothing: The part UniHo directly
controls makes the cheap and durable clothing. They let the subsidiary Kotiz
Fashions Inc handle the upper end products. It works like this: your child
needs a uniform to attend school in. They just moved to secondary school so
they need a new one. You go to the nearest UniHo outlet and pick it up. Now it’s
Prom time. They need fancy evening clothes. UniHo won’t have it but their
subsidiary Kotiz Fashions Inc. will spoil you as they show you a wide array of
clothing choices. Buildings: We go three ways here. Need a
new colony world built in two months for 10,000 colonists? Call in UniHo. Need
a football stadium for your rabid fans or a spaceport to get them there, and
then call in Planetary Structures Inc. But if you are looking for a town hall
not a city hall UniHo will work with you through their design teams to make
your dream come true. Furniture: Pretty much like the building
division except they don’t have a subsidiary to handle the really big stuff.
They make the cheap stuff and will be your middle being to find the right
sub-contractor for that four poster ebony bedroom set. Last
thought. Frankly as a provider of goods I see these guys as everywhere and a
good background. Not seeing a whole lot of adventures here. Maybe some
interesting fashion week run ins with the Victoria Secret Dralasites or some
badly constructed buildings. If you can use them in an adventure then go for
it. Sounds like a great job but where did you say we had to go? |
