Rollo October 6, 2012 - 6:35pm | Heck no! It's invisible! :P http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/2012/10/05/scientists-develop-see-through-car/ Scientists develope 'see-through' car "Who needs a rear view mirror when your car has no rear, at least virtually. Researchers from Japan’s University of Keio have built a “see-through” Toyota Prius, that allows a driver to look through the rear seats and bodywork to see any obstructions behind, according to CNET.com. The system is an application of previously developed optical-cloaking technology, which uses a camera mounted on the back of an object then projects that image onto its front, making it essentially invisible to anyone looking at it from that direction. Read: Mercedes-Benz builds an "invisible" car Details on the Keio project are still scarce, but rather than layering video over the rear seats, it appears to deploy a reflective screen in the driver’s line of site when they turn their head, and doing the reverse of filling in the blanks by displaying what can’t be seen through the window openings. The technology will be publicly unveiled at the Digital Content Expo in Tokyo at the end of October." Can we have invisible space ships? O:) I don't have to outrun that nasty beast my friend...I just have to outrun you! |

You cant "cloak" a spaceship. That type of technology is based on optical camouflage. With spaceships, they have a mass and heat & electro-magnetic emissions that is impossible to hide from sensors. Visual signatures have no baring on ship's sensors.
an we have invisible space ships? O:)
Over their shoulder?!? Those @$$-hat texters cant even see 6 inches ahead of themselves! They will (and have) walk-off cliffs, or into holes, ditches and people! Not even the henchmen in the Contra games run so blindly to their watery doom! Don't even get me started on those %$#&tards who blindly follow their GPS system! People actually die from those damn things! Worthless technology, because people still won't put down their stupid phones to look over their shoulder. |
jedion357 October 7, 2012 - 4:27am | Personally I'd love this in my work vehicle but of course I'd have a day off and come in and find it broken or stolen off the vehicle as per standard SOP for when other drivers drive my truck. I'm surprised the double extra wide rear view mirror that i clipped onto the standard rear view hasn't gone missing but the I guess the @$$ hats dont care about extra safety equipment that lets them angle the rear view to see out the rear windows, the side cargo windows and even a piece of the front passenger window- half the time i find it re-centered on the rear windows of the van which actually undoes any benefit of having such a huge mirror. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
