time. I see it as a different twist on Star Trek, Star Wars type themes.
I think that Firefly has more elements of Star Frontiers than other
sci-fi shows or games. It has the same frontier feel, and at the same
time a "civilized" society. It just doesn't have any of our favorite
alien characters in it.

I agree with you there, another case of Hollywood looking to cash in with a sequel and the end result is a dud. Kind of like Jaws. August 16, 2012 - 5:09pm | Species II lost my interest from the get go, yet I forced myself to watch it from there. I think I made it a fulol hour before shutting it off for good. I caught part 3 on TV once and just couldn't motivate myself to hang on until the first commercial. By then I had forgotten how good the original actually was. ;) |

 August 27, 2012 - 6:24pm | I like Klingons as well, my favorite aliens tend to be the war like ones. Klingons, Gorn, Yautja (Predators), Protoss, Skaarj, Invid, Paranoid Axis (from anime Gall Force) and Velantians. In every age, in every place, the deeds of men remain the same. |
