What would tourist from the Frontier do in your town or the nearest major city?
I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers!

In Boston vrusk would visit the Museum of Fine Art and the Elizabeth Gardner Museum which are close together. Ifshnits would love Quincy and or Hay Markets all the while thinking of an angle to make some money. A dralasite at Quincy market would be drawn to the street performers and laugh a pseudo-pod off at the corny jokes. A yazirian might admire and number of statues around Boston dedicated to war heroes though while at Quincy market with his Frontier compatriots he admire the one just around the other side of Fanuel Hall dedicated to the commander of the colonial forces on Breeds Hill with his signature line etched in stone "Hold Fire till you see the whites of their eyes!" To his dralasite companion he'd comment, "Now that's nerve under fire." If they took a tour on a duck boat they'd comment on how they like the explorers back home better and after riding in a Ford Explorer there'd be a few derogatory comments about it. Their vrusk friend would of course split off from them to explore the city on his own usually by T (subway and bus) as he would not fit in taxis with his companions and the idea of spending a day at one or more museums would appeal to his sensibilities more then the others. The USS Constitution and the Bunker Hill monument would interest the Yazirian though he'd be disappointed that he couldn't glide down after climbing to the top, though the battle dioramas in the visitor's center would add to the appeal of this location. If they found themselves in Alston near the Midwest Grill the yazirian would have thought he died and went to heaven to have discovered Brazilian Barbeque. Others in the party will likely fill up with items from the buffet and get irked with the yazirian trying to bust a gut on the all you can eat and the servers constantly coming to the table with a spit of meat offering portions cut directly from it.

Here is Grayland, They would enjoy the cold and gray Pacific Ocean. They could hang at the beach and collect shells and sand dollars, at least the vrusk would. Actualy the yazirian would love to go surfing at Westport. The thrills of the rough sea. The dralasite would want to be here during the Pirate festival in Westport and see all the humans dressed as pirates. Maybe even see the famous Priates of the Carribean Ship come into port. Then as a side note, the vrusk will have a bag full fo collectible item like sea glass, shells, sand dollars, to take home. The yazirian could actually get lift at the beach with all the wind. He/she probably would take off like a kite. He could even have the dralasite keep him in tow with a rope and have a personnel para-sail experience.

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, except for those social diseases inherited from all those trans-racial encounters with the street walkers.

As such methinks the yazirians would enjoy our fine town the most.
I'm not overly fond of Zeb's Guide...nor do I have any qualms stating why. Tongue out

During the approach to earth they picked up a few McDonald's commercials on the radio waves. Then after they landed and found a few cows.... failed at making hamburgers (see cattle mutilation). then after a day in Colorado
got board... started doing a few low passes over a barn or two....then went to Vegas
after screwing with some locals camping out in the woods.

Im sure we have had a big foo...er uh Yazirian sighting at some point in time.

Just one problem, we don't have woods here. Just sand, rocks, and cacti...things like dirt, grass, and trees are imported.

Yes the woods were meant to be in Colorado...how ever if i remember correctly from my child hood in Nevada,There are a few Mountains in the state with evergreen forests...Yes Vegas is a Barron desert.

Just a bad attempt at humor by me.

Ah I got that now. It was late when I posted that. Embarassed

And yes, there are woods nearby...you just need to do some inclined driving to get to them --- aka in the neighboring mountains in what used to be out of town, they developed right up to the turn off before the recession hit. If things had kept their pace, Las Vegas would have indeed had woods. So you could say there was one positive aspect to the state that got hit hardest by said recession ;)

Well since the next town over is home of Fort Benning Home of the Armor and Infantry schools they would probably get captured and shipped off to Area 52 (51 is a decoy).
Sounds like a great job but where did you say we had to go?

Ok... True story.
When I was in basic at Ft. Benning, there was a night I was giving a report to a guy I woke up for his shift on watch in the middle of the dark woods. With out skipping a beat and as serous as I could sound I gave my report.

The report was as follows:
"Wake up its your turn on guard. Its 03:30, your up for the next 30 minutes. Remember...Most UFO sightings have occurred around military installations between the hours of 03:00 to 04:00 so if you do run into an extraterrestrial, go for the eyes...it may be their only weak point". The look on his face was classic.

Any way, I thought it was funny as hell.

Spyder, that was awesome. The only problem with that is if they don't have eyes.

In the absence of eyes, go for the groin.

Granted that didn't work in Alien Nation...

You know Shadow, I have got to get into the next alien anatomy class. Somehow they did not offer that at my college.

Knowledge of anatomy is overrated, just keep firing until they stop moving.

I like aiming for center mass, just in case my aim is off a little. But when all else fails throw grenades.

Remembering the scene in Battle Los Angeles where the Marine Sergeant and the Veterinarian take the time for a quick anatomy lesson during the battle. There is always time for learning, even if your under attack.
Sounds like a great job but where did you say we had to go?
