jedion357 February 4, 2012 - 6:26am | I was doing a little google search to research corrupt officials. Not having any first hand knowledge myself, I figured I should educate myself before doing a write up on an NPC. WOW! stumbled on the following ling: http://brendabowers.wordpress.com/2010/01/02/ten-most-corrupt-government-officials-2009-judicial-watch/ Was surprised to see Obama's name made #7 for 2009 Also surpirsed by party officiation being so one sided. Either the independent watch dog group is not so non partisan or that one party's leadership is well and trully a bunch of corrupt Butt Holes. Funny how the other party's sexual scandals are always big news but real corruption is Business as usual with the guys on this list. This is the list of 10 most corrupt for 2011: http://politicalvelcraft.org/2011/09/08/judicial-watch-announces-list-of-washington%E2%80%99s-%E2%80%9Cten-most-wanted-corrupt-p... Having gotten a little education on the subject I'd like to be so political as to encourage you to supporte the following petition to prevent Obama from establishing a Farm Czar and take control of farm, overturning private property rights and massively crippling our food production capacity in America. http://politicalvelcraft.org/2011/09/07/breaking-obama-has-made-his-biggest-move-ever-to-enforce-government-tyranny-across-this-... I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |

Rollo February 4, 2012 - 9:27am | These lists do not surprise me Jedion. What does surprise me is that the politicians always seem to be able to get away with this stuff. They say, 'Yeah I did it...but look at what that evil Republican did! He just jaywalked! OMG!!' and suddenly the media and the voters completely forget the billions spent to shore up defunct 'green energy companies' and focus on the dastardly Republican. Let us look at the case of Sarah Palin for example to highlight this. Whether you love her or hate her doesn't matter in the least. The woman has been so viciously demonized by the left and the media that ANYTHING she says, whether it is absolutely correct or absolutely wrong is marginalized to the point of inconsequence. All anyone ever remembers about Sarah Palin is that she, 'can see Russia from her house' or that she 'hunts wolves from a low flying helicopter' or that she 'used Canadian universal health care while she lived in Alaska'. Never mind that Tina Fay of Saturday Night Live comedy fame is the one who could see Russia from her house, not Sarah Palin. Never mind that Alaska is 99.999% rugged wilderness without roads and the department of Fish and Game regularly hunt problem wolves using helicopters and planes because it is the most efficient way to do so. Never mind that she was eight years old at the time and her parents took the family to that clinic in Canada out of necessity and because it was the closest clinic to where they lived. A grain of truth in a lie makes the lie sound like the truth. Of course this is practiced on both sides of the political isle, but I have to say that the most vile, reprehensible and downright corrupt examples I have ever seen come straight out of the democrat party and is a prime example of why I distrust them so very much. When a sitting president has to ask what the definition of 'is' is while under oath, that tells me everything I need to know about his party and what they actually stand for. I don't have to outrun that nasty beast my friend...I just have to outrun you! |
Rollo February 4, 2012 - 9:42am | That whole Farm Czar thing is a part of Agenda 21 out of the UN. Yeah, most of you are looking at me like my tinfoil hat just slipped off my head. Its a familiar vacant stare and is part of the problem we have in this country. Simply put the government is not so benevolent as most would like to think. Regardless I'll put up some links to get you started in your research so you can see for yourself. http://www.americanthinker.com/2009/10/un_agenda_21_coming_to_a_neigh.html http://www.theblaze.com/stories/is-the-soros-sponsored-agenda-21-a-hidden-plan-for-world-government-yes-only-it-is-not-hidden/ So after reading about Agenda 21 maybe you all should look into the whole UN small arms treaty that Hillary Clinton and Obama have been working on. As far as I know this 'treaty' has actually been being worked on since Bill Clinton was in office. http://www.forbes.com/sites/larrybell/2011/06/07/u-n-agreement-should-have-all-gun-owners-up-in-arms/ http://www.thenewamerican.com/usnews/constitution/7784-un-small-arms-treaty-targets-second-amendment-rights http://scpatriotsclub.com/blog/?p=82 Of course all of the usual left-leaning suspects out there scream how insane someone must be to believe that there is anything at all nefarious concerning this small arms treaty. To that I'll redirect your attention to my previous post... I don't have to outrun that nasty beast my friend...I just have to outrun you! |

They say, 'Yeah I did it...but look at what that evil Republican did! He just jaywalked! OMG!!' Which, in a nut shell, is what the Republican on that list did. Let's keep in mind there is a significant difference between "scandal" and "corrupt". Despite numerous investigations & hearings he was never actually found guilty of anything. He finally resigned in shame and everyone shut their mouths after that. Ensign simply couldn't stop banging his aide's wife while consequently championing Promise Seekers. His family doled out the hush money on their own accord, not John himself. But none of that lead to any actual private gain, aside from the aide's wife's privates. |
rattraveller February 4, 2012 - 7:58pm | Processing everything but one point Mrs Palin did say she could see Russia from her house but she meant it figuratively not actually. Sounds like a great job but where did you say we had to go? |
Rollo February 4, 2012 - 8:20pm | http://www.snopes.com/politics/palin/seealaska.asp From Snopes: "The basis for the line was Governor Palin's 11 September 2008 appearance on ABC News, her first major interview after being tapped as the vice-presidential nominee. During that appearance, interviewer Charles Gibson asked her what insight she had gained from living so close to Russia, and she responded: "They're our next-door neighbors, and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska." Two days later, on the 2008 season premiere of Saturday Night Live, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler appeared in a sketch portraying Sarah Palin and Hillary Clinton, during which Fey spoofed Governor Palin's remark of a few days earlier with the following exchange: FEY AS PALIN: "You know, Hillary and I don't agree on everything . . ." POEHLER AS CLINTON: (OVERLAPING) "Anything. I believe that diplomacy should be the cornerstone of any foreign policy." FEY AS PALIN: "And I can see Russia from my house." Full disclosure - he 'kinda\sorta is my 'boss'', and I have to walk a fine line.... Sargonarhes February 7, 2012 - 5:54pm | Processing everything but one point Mrs Palin did say she could see Russia from her house but she meant it figuratively not actually. Rollo is correct. Palin never said she could see Russia from her house. That was all Tina Fey and the rest of the media just ran with it as if it came from Mrs. Palin's own mouth. Which shows not only can you not trust a politician, the media comes next on that list of things and people you can not trust. Remember that racist Tea Party thing? MSNBC focused on an event in Arizona and could not get over the racist Tea Party dude openly carring a rifle over his shoulder on a sling and a pistol in it's holster. MSNBC ran this as proof the Tea Party is racist, only problem was MSNBC cropped the video. The dude carring the weapons at the Tea Party rally was a black man. Scum the whole lot of them all. A quote comes to mind. "Of course you can trust your government, just ask any Indian." In every age, in every place, the deeds of men remain the same. |
Rollo February 7, 2012 - 7:10pm | You are quite right in your assessment Sargonarhes. The media is almost wholly to blame for the state of this country. Not that they are pulling any of the levers and causing the economy to tank or anything of that sort. That is due to the politicians. But the media is supposed to be reporting the truth. Instead, they are completely in bed with the radical elements in our political system. They are directly enabling those radical elements to do what they've been doing. Back in the early part of last century...and to about the middle of that century you could (mostly) count on the nightly news reporting facts and truth and letting you decide what it all meant. But then round about the Vietnam war Walter Cronkite changed all of that when he started reporting skewed stories in an attempt to change things to what he believed was good. It has gone steadily downhill from there...to where we are now. My point is, sure the politicians are scumbags and oxygen thieves. But they wouldn't be able to get away with the stuff they have been these last few decades without the express assistance from the media. Its like the media has morphed into absolute liars while the audience is stuck in the 40's believing that the news is the gospel truth. I don't have to outrun that nasty beast my friend...I just have to outrun you! |
Shadow Shack February 7, 2012 - 8:33pm | I've said it for a while now....the media needs to drop their media agenda and revert back to a news agenda. All I want to do is read/hear/watch the news, I don't need some mouthpiece telling me how to interpret it. After all, I read/write/speak English... |
Arclight February 8, 2012 - 1:02pm | Are you in the armed forces?
