this is a general blog to throw around ideas for running an investigated adventure for kids.

To discuss:

how to craft such an adventure

How to use evidence in such an adventure (there are other threads dedicated to creating evidence; fingerprinting, hair samples, foot print evidence. etc) but this thread should discuss how to use such evidence in the actual adventure.

even adventure seeds.

So I'm thinking that a CSI style adventure should have probably no more than 2 piece of "slow evidence" which would be things that are of a prop nature like whats discussed in the fingerprint and other evidence thread. Simply for the reason that you dont want to delay the game so much or distract the kids to much. Even as I think about it, 1 bit of slow evidence might be enough for 1 session.

Perhaps the format should be one bit of slow evidence leads to one suspect and that suspect gives you a lead on another suspect. When they run down the lead they get another bit of slow evidence which will lead to another suspect. They go to arrest that suspect and their is a chase, car or foot chase and some sort of a climatic struggle to get him into custody.

Of course the crime will need to be a little less violent then murder and rape and etc. Perhaps robbery or corporate espionage. plots to perform terrorism could be good too as the big crime, to blow up something, hasn't happened and of course the PCs will halt that.

EDIT: a jail break, armored car heist, bribery could work too
