Finger Printing Activity

I believe it was a Mercenarys, Spies & Private Eyes product that I heard about, but for that game they had transparencies of fingerprints to use with that game. basically you would provide a finger print transparency from the crime scene and as the PCs obtained other fingerprints they could hold the two transparencies together and see if they found the criminal by comparing them. I just typed in fingerprint in google then clicked on images and then saves a bunch of finger print images. all I have to do is get them printed as a transparency at a Staples store and I'm good to go.

What I was wondering is: what could I use for a dralasite dermal print, a yazirian fingerprint and the vrusk equiv.?

Any artist want to help with that?

So to use fingerprints you can either assemble a finger print kit with a camel hair brush and grafite and clear tape and have fun actually taking real finger prints, something I think the kids will love

Or just use the transparencies which will not slow the game much.

Or you could use both but that might require creating a stamp that will make the finger print. Using a block of rubber and wood carving tools, particularly a V shaped gouge you could first draw out a finger print on the block and carve out what isnt the print then a greasy or oily substance is applied to the rubber stamp and the print is made on a flat surface. at the point in the game when the print is discovered in the setting provide the glass or tile plate the print is on and let the kids lift the print. the same rubber stamp can be used with ink to make a control print to be copied onto a transparency etc.

same method could be used to make a vrusk foot print but I guess you need about three rubber stamps that will give you a print from the criminal and 2 from innocents suspects. same for finger print stamps.

all in all it will require some work but one the stamps are made they become a reusable resource.

If you wanted to send me the print images and your address I could print them out for you and drop them in the mail.  I have boxes of transparencies that would work in my printer (They are leftovers from the days of doing presentations on overheads instead of PowerPoint with a computer projector).
