Just because the core three books are out is no reason to dread that this project will be winding down anytime soon. I've already started work on updating the next Star Frontiers book. this book will have all new options for expanding your Star frontiers experience. New Merits/Flaws New Feats, and skills, and rules for those Legendary Heroes who advance past 20th level. The book will also have new equipment, and rules for Mutants, Psionics, Mechs and more.

I'm about 35 pages into the rewrite as I post this and it looks like this book is already going to be over 140 pages. the Merits/Flaws Skills, feats, and equipment are  all behind me, and I'm starting on the optional rules. I'm hoping that the stuff in this book adds fun to your games, and inspires new ideas and new and exciting directions for you to explore.

I've completed the genetics section of the Expanded Universe guidebook. This section covers rules for the creation of Genetically augmented characters, and includes several templates, and the section also gives some information about cloning, and how this subject is being dealt with in the Expanded Frontier. I should be ono the rules for mutations in the expanded universe next.

On an aside note I've also been working on updating the Zebulon's guide to Frontier animals. I've completely revamped the first part of the book which details the information presented in the typical creature's stat block, and am trying to expand the information in each of the creatures descriptions. I hope that I can have both these sourcebooks done relatively fast.

I'm 64 pages into the Expanded Universe guidebook at the moment. I've updated all the rules concerning the creation of mutant characters in the Star Frontier's Universe (for those Gamma World/star Frontier's crossover campaigns). And I'm deep into the rules for Psionics for this rules set.

I'm currently considering moving the rules for Mechs out of this book and move in a section for new Knight Hawks stuff, so that this book really is about expanding the options of the core three books rather then introducing a ton of new rules. Should I move mechs out and replace it with Knight Hawks stuff?

I finished the psionics today, which has now put me at 119 pages. I'm now into the specialized equipment section, which means I'll have to make a decision about the Knight Hawk stuff, and Mechs. If I leave the book as it stands with the Mechs I'm looking at roughly 140 pages. If I take out the mechs and add the Knight Hawks stuff I'll probably hit about 150 pages, and If I put them both in I might end up with about 160 pages. I know it might not sound like a big deal but I don't want the book to be so big that it becomes unappealing.

I'll figure this out in the next few days. I'm planning to use tommorow to work on the Zebulon's guide to Animals of the Frontier, for a change of pace.

I'm amazed at how much and how quickly you're putting everything together.  I've only glanced briefly at the core books so far... figure it's going to take me several weeks to read them in detail... and by then you'll have another *stack* to read!  Foot in mouth

Great job!

BTW, how would you like errata, rules feedback, ideas, etc. fed back to you?  Just post to the forum?

Thank you for the encouragement. As for questions, ideas and such, If its something you think we should all discuss and hammer out a better rule, by all means post it here. however if you have something that you'd like to discuss privately, message me, or E-mail me and I'll get back to you as quick as I can.

Now for the update...I've revamped some specialized computers, and updated the rules for the V-Net that I really think came out well, and are very simple to use. I'm going to be adding about 20 or so new robots in this book, and will probably say to heck wih it and add both the new Knight Hawks stuff, and the Mechs too, and say to heck with page counts. After all this book is about adding options to the game, so people should have as many options as I can offer.

It's been a slow start to the week for me, but I've managed to make enough time to complete the 18 new robots for this book, and I reworked the rules for Combat Mechs in the Frontier. I'm working on putting together a dozen or so Mechs to give players and administrators somethng to work off of. The book has hit 151 pages at the moment, and I didn't add anything for Knight Hawks yet, and there are no new vehicles in this book.

I do have a Zebulon's guide to Frontier vehicles that's about 45 pages already updated to 4.5, so I might just put the Knight Hawks ships there and seal things up on the Expanded book after I get the mechs in there. I mean the Expanded Universe book at 160 or so pages has a lot of new stuff already in there so it wouldn't be incomplete to seal it up after those Mechs are in, but would you guys be upset if I didn't have new vehicles and Spaceships in there as well?

Okay guys After a little bit of soul searching, I decided to move a few things around, and have come up with a book that I am happy with. It is 179 Pages and is now available for your reading, and hopefully Gaming pleasure.

I started working on a revision to the star system and planet creation rules that appeared in the Administrator's guidebook for the guide to the Frontier. This new set of tables expands on a lot of the rules in that section but adds a lot of information with as much science as I can bear to put in there, and not turn it into a theoretical science essay on the kind of worlds that exist outside of our own (I will leave that in the capable hands of those who know about such things).

I think that this guidebook when I'm done with it should be a good addition to the growing collection of Star Frontiers (URS) material that'll be out there waiting for you guys to hopefully play with and expand on.
