Another interesting series of adventures could easily focus on the stranded human colonies on Mars after the last war. The colonists find themselves with no help from earth, a finite supply of food, and three chemical engine ships. Between the riots, and the desperate missions to reestablish contact with the agriculture stations in orbit around the earth and the colonies on the moon, and jupiter this makes for another interesting premise to set adventures. anyone have any imput on this?

Also the period when the colonies are reestablished and construction begins on far point station could be interesting for a group of troubleshooting characters whose job is to maintain order within the various outposts and colonies within the sol system.

If the other colonies are not friendly (to give the mars colony food and provisions) it would be a gun and run mission.

Can mars produce food?
What about converting one of the ship to an agricultural ship?

In the original timeline the colonies on the moon, mars, and jupiter's moons depended on agricultural supplies from the agricultural space stations that were put in orbit around Earth to offset the dwindling food supplies on earth due to overpopulation. When the plague struck earth mars had just resupplied and had three chemical drive ships which were scheduled to return to earth after trading their agricultural supplies for martian ore.

The ships are old with chemical drives, so conversion is not possible. eventually hydropnics farming could start on mars, but not in time to keep the people from starving. John Carter who is the acting commander of the martian colony decides to send the crews of the chemical ships on a desperate run to the agriculture stations and one ship to the lunar colony (that ship disappears for several months but returns in time to restablish the lunar colony-adventure hook).

As for the lunar colony something dreadful happens to the colonists there because when the mars ship arrives there's no one left, and the colony's life support needs to be reactivated (adventure hook).

The Jupiter colony might be holding on to its resources and might even have hydroponics because of the water rich moon of titan. They might not be willing to help the mars colony and might have their own "mad' governor who needs to be replaced by the characters.

Titan orbits Saturn and has a methane atmosphere.  I think you mean Europa.  Although actually Ganymede and Callisto have more ice than Europa, it's just not on the surface but under a layer of "debris".

ooops...I guess all the things going on this week are starting to catch up with me. Thanks for the correction.

I was thinking that the Jupiter colony, being so far out would have to be self sufficient, since getting supplies from earth would take too long, which would be the perfect set up for a evil despot type to take command when the signals from earth stopped. I figure him and his security squad have probably been using their superior weaponry to cow the colonists, and ration out supplies to those who are loyal citizens.

The Heroes of course wouldn't want to leave these poor colonists to suffer under the rule of a madman right? Specially when the jupiter colony has hydroponics and precious water which can be converted to ship fuel and other useful things.
