Rum Rogue December 18, 2010 - 10:19am | John Carter of Mars series is a bit high tech at times, but can definatley add some flavor. Time flies when your having rum. Im a government employee, I dont goof-off. I constructively abuse my time. |
Will the Stampede December 18, 2010 - 11:29am | All good reads. " 'Beware the Beast, Man, for he is the Devil's pawn. Alone among God's primates, he kills for sport, for lust, for greed. Yea, he will murder his brother to possess his brother's land. Let him not breed in great numbers, for he will make a desert of his home and yours. Shun him; drive him back into his jungle lair, for he is the harbinger of death." |
jedion357 December 18, 2010 - 10:20pm | Space 1889 rpg is awesome pros - earth of the victorian era gives players a baseline idea to begin with the setting material for venus and mars is really cool. and the possible intrigues are boundless. plus its in reprint of all the rpgs I've never played this is my favorite buying and reading Toon and Paranoia dimmed my enthusiasm to try those games. GASLIGHT rpg, skirmish game, mass battle game is interesting though light on setting (very light- means more work for the GM) pros are that you have 3 small books for 3 different levels of gaming and they are very compatible to transition from rpg to mass battle if you need to for different level so action. plus there is a ACW supliment for GASLIGHT as well FYI GASLIGHT stands for : Glorious Adventures in Science Loosely Involving Generally Historic Times. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
