in 1995 me and my wife and my gaming group at the time completely revamped star frontiers using the zeb's guide as the foundation of it. we created a better occupations list for the game, the occ's included (examples)--- black ops agents, bounty hunters, professional thief, janni(female assassins), corprate officers, star law rangers, and a whole bunch more. each occupation had some special equipment and some special abilities. example---star law rangers had a special sidearm called a peace maker which was a 12mm autopistol with a undermounted electrostunner-w-rec grips, they also had guardsmen armor which acted like a grid suit of sorts. we basiclly took what was in the book and what little info i could find online at the time one of the last projects i did before we moved and ended the game down in miami was a restech class which was a space rescue specialist which came out okay.its really added alot to the game with the exanded occupations

You'll probably not find a lot of people here who want to go that route.  Most prefer the very simple skill system from AD.  I've personally always wanted to expand the game out more like that.  I liked the multplicity of skills provided in Zeb's but not the way they presented them.  (It's partially the mechanic and partially the entire XP thing for me)  but have never had the time to work on it.  You should post what you did as downloads or even start a new project to give people a chance to look over them.  I for one you like to see what you did.

@ malhavok: I like your idea of specialized gear for the occupations.  I'd love to see more on that; if you're up to it, you could post it in a project (either an existing one or create a new one) or write up an article for SFman.  Sounds really good!
Long live the Frontier!

Ultimate equipment guide might be a good spot too
I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers!

depends if you create a PDF and upload it then do it as a finished product but if you'll create documents in the documents section of the projects then installments will work best.

Advantages of having a project area that you are working in is that people will sound off and give you feed back - forums are good for this, and the documents can be a good way to organize and manage material as well as the search feature on this site searches the documents but not the uploads.

...and you can create a forum topic which references the document. :-)
After creating the document click the bubble icon;

Lastly you can insert the document anywhere on this site by replacing xxxx with the node number of the document you want to reference.
