 October 7, 2010 - 9:57am | Hiya all. I gathered all the web stats from each year of all of our efforts and was amazed. I thought it might feel encouraging for you all to see what I saw. The following is an accurate count of the number of times each pdf was downloaded. Summing all these up took a lot of time (with the number of times the filenames or directories have changed, as well as the fact that my webstats are monthly and I wanted totals to-date) so I didn't bother with the maps, character sheets, etc. Just the books and webzine issues. Additionally, 2008 appears to have some crap data (an entire year and only 1 sfman issue 1 was downloaded?!) but instead of speculating, I am just summing up and reporting the facts as I currently know them. Congrats all... we've had more than one hundred thousand book downloads to date...

October 7, 2010 - 10:00am | By the way - since I left the webzine up to others I have watched it evolve. This last issue, #15, is one I'm really proud of. You guys did a bang-up job. The articles cover a nice variety of content (lots of goodness for any type of reader) and the artwork is very excellent! Maybe end the letter with yet another invite to submit, join the revival, and get involved here. It was a statement somewhere that said something about joining the revival that got me moving from being just a downloader and reader to being a contributer. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
