I was once a Star Law agent working deep cover inside a sathar agent ring. Worm technology is actually quite simple once you get the knack of it...they don't have thumbs so if you just use your hands like paddles and everything becomes quite natural.

Sadly my cover was quickly blown. Seems the worms, despite their advancements in technology, never developed a sense of humor.

I will not be leaving anytime soon for any reason unless I am told to leave by w00t(Larry) or CleanCutRogue(Bill). Somehow, I do not really think that will be anytime soon. I know I don't contribute a whole lot of stuff, however, I do like reading the stories, the scenarios, and the goodies for the game. I like the ezine and the goodies that come in it. I may not agree with some of the parts and maybe the whole story. But, I do not come in and bash anyone for it. I like when someone asks what I think about anything and I try to offer my ideas to maybe spur another in the creator of whatever it is. My suggestion is that if your article seems to have lost what you put into it, post it somewhere for people to download and see the original the way you want it. Just keep in mind, it may get lost in the abyss. And when I get more time to do so, I will start being more active at posting some of my own goodies. I am still testing the water because another sight did not think my ideas had anything to do with SF.

@Inigo:  On the contrary kind sir.  It is the Humans and Yazirians who have not yet realized how funny they are acting in trying to not understand us.  The Vrusk, however, seem to spend too much thought on trying to understand us.  So the universe remains balanced and the Dralasites roll along with it.

Listent to me now, understand me later!

My HS 3 system ship has size four A chemical drives, 36u fuel capacity and 4 ADF.
I grew up on a moderate-G world, 1.6G to be exact giving me +10 to STR checks in gravity <1.5G.

I R Strong!

In addition my home planet had a huge desert which gives me a bonus of +5 STA and +10 to not get thirsty (even in the bar). I last 3x longer without water than your average mamby pamby pudding man.

Of course I'm a little dimwitted... but no worries, I have a holo-field implant that makes me look spiffy with the laddies!

Recently visited the History Museum, read all about Captain Jason Henry Siegar, also known as Hank. The Star Rovers landed on a new world, I heard one of the teams got lost again.

Picked up a flamethrower gauntlet! Errr... for my garden? Ya, that's the ticket. Couldn't afford the power armor but the babe in the window looked sweet (got the poster).

Some day I'm gonna own a Rim-Song... some day.

I hear the Royal Marines of Clarion are hiring.... after a gyrojet nano-nuke took out their recruitment center. Some classified had a nice reward for someone named "Tordia". Seems like I've seen that ad before....

The new ATC-20 aircar is out.. got to get one of those!

But I'm confused why he would choose to set his holofield to make him spiffy with the laddies. As an Irish laddie meself, I'm not findin' Mister Larry spiffy at all, me shillelagh only swings for the ladies.

I'm still trying to figure out if Woot really believes that he will ever be understood. I mean, come on. Honestly?

I think that the implants article was very interesting. I think a good follow up would be a closer look at Law Enforcements views on implants... "You think we are going to allow you to walk through the starport with THAT?" Also there would be quite a bit of varience in what you can get away with in a port in Outer Reach vs. what would be kosher on Hentz. Finally how would law enforcement disable  weapon implants. It would be bad if the only choice was to lop of the arm with the offending weapon implant.

Good thoughts Ellzii, are you considering writing a followup?
The next Issue will have an article on "Star Law Revisited" (not sure if it covers your specific topic)

Good question- to site an example from my favorite author_ In David weber's "In Enemy Hands" the main character who had an occular implant to replace an eye lost in battle, who was also the equivelent of the "boogy man" that gave nightmares to enemy admirals was captured and State Security immediately took posession of her and as Proforma had the circutry of the implant burned out by a tech since they didn't posess the codes to disable it. They could have actually hacked it to get the codes but went ahead with the burn out as a statement of their power and part of their pettiness. The were regular naval officers in their navy that were disgusted at that but they were helpless against state sec.

I would say you could go with hack the implant to generate the disable codes which is a action like defeat security on a computer or burn out the circutry which would be the fast and easy option like by pass security on a computer.
I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers!

Your wish is my command. I already have a cybernetics article written that discusses that issue and provides more cybernetics and alternate/additional rules. I already have a lot of submissions in, but I will go ahead and submit it and let Larry determine what articles go in when.

I liked the article on implants, not sure whether I would use it in a game, but the point is that SF is different things to different people, it doesn't mean just because an item of equipment is there it has to be used, but it does add an extra dimension, especially for a unique bad guy. I think I'd be more tempted to use them for powerful NPC's than have them available for PC's, but thats just my personal opinion.

"But, Sir," the bosun said, regretting the words even before they left his mouth, "we don't have any thumbscrews."

"That, Bosun," the XO replied in a low, mad whisper, "is why they give us machine shops!"
