I worked today, but went in as one of my fave comic book heroes. Which, ironically enough, didn't require too much more than what I normally go to work looking like...

Ghost Rider!

One hell of a pennance stare there, Johnny Blaze.

Cool costume, sweet bike.

Makeup work was awesome, especially the way the black was used to create a nose 'hole" in the skull. Probably bone-basic to someone who knows what he's doing, but too many don't get that right.

So, did ya get any candy?

Thanks! It's actually a neoprene mask with eyeholes, vailable at most aftermarket motorcycle accessory shops/catalogs. The only make up was to fill in the eyeholes. Couldn't find a full mask version online, but here's the half version:

LOL!

True. Not to mention you probably have a wider range of facial expressions.....

I don't know...Cage can contort his face in a variety of ways. I don't think I could pull off that bit where he transformed for the first time (staggering with his feet on fire in the abandoned depot, head catching on fire later...right before confronting Blackheart's crew for the first time).

Suffice it to say, the GR flick was not as good as it could have been. Cage had been vying for a superhero flick since the Keaton/Nicholson Batman days, and I never thought he'd portray a hero to the right degree. I went in with low expectations and wasn't disappointed.

But they could have done better with another actor. Even Brad Pitt may have fared better, at least he has the right hair color for a Johnny Blaze (even if he does color it). Ewan McGregor with a bit of vocal training (to ditch the accent) would have been a great choice.
