Gergmaster July 23, 2008 - 4:58pm | Hey w00t I think I have the layout template (got it a while ago) it's from issue eight so it will work and with a few tweeks we can get an issue layout. Confucious Says: Man with one chopstick go hungry. Man who eat many prunes get good run for money. Man who live in glass house should change clothes in basement. |

w00t (not verified) July 23, 2008 - 7:51pm | [Anyone submitting ARTWORK]Please do not post your artwork on this site if you plan on submitting it to the Star Frontiersman Magazine. It could potentially ruin the surprise of the publication. :-) I believe many readers do not troll or post on this site but I for one would be disappointed to see something one this site in the magazine. You understand. Not complaining but....ya know the Magazine is really no surprise since I see all submissions. |
Shadow Shack July 23, 2008 - 11:16pm | Submissions sent... |
MrJupiter July 25, 2008 - 8:08pm | What format do you prefer to have your art submissions in? I had scanned in a bunch of old pencil sketches a couple of years ago. These are from back in the mid-80's to early 90's. They are in TIFF because I was told that it was the best format for desktop publishing. I haven't done anything in years (decades) but I had been planning on touching them up a bit with Window's Paint program. [Yeah, I know its pretty lame.] Anyways, I thought I could send them your way and if you think you could use them; great! If not, then that's absolutely no problem. Besides, I'm not sure if my spacships are perfectly in line with Knight Hawk cannon. There's no harm in trying, right? PS- Is submitting as easy as clicking on that "submit" button I seen somehwere? |

Gergmaster July 28, 2008 - 5:45pm | Yeah dont worry about formatting, because everybody likes their own or has one they use by their computer's default. Confucious Says: Man with one chopstick go hungry. Man who eat many prunes get good run for money. Man who live in glass house should change clothes in basement. |
w00t (not verified) July 28, 2008 - 7:06pm | Yeah dont worry about formatting, because everybody likes their own or has one they use by their computer's default. There are guidelines on the submit page: http://starfrontiersman.com/contact/submissions Guidelines
NOTE: Most everyone forgets how they want to be credited in the magazine, so remember to let us know. |

umungus August 25, 2008 - 8:29am | Hi Guys, Any news on issue 9? At least I got to scare an alien rabbit thingy...... |
Gergmaster August 25, 2008 - 5:10pm | No I havent been able to do any real work on the zine with w00t or Bill. I just started college last week. Moved eight hours south to go to ENMU. I am currently going into IS and History (dual major). So I have been busy with all that stuff. I hope to start helping out more this week but it doesnt look promising. Confucious Says: Man with one chopstick go hungry. Man who eat many prunes get good run for money. Man who live in glass house should change clothes in basement. |
Rum Rogue August 26, 2008 - 4:48am | Anything we can do to help? Time flies when your having rum. Im a government employee, I dont goof-off. I constructively abuse my time. |
w00t (not verified) August 26, 2008 - 6:03am | If anyone has knowledge how to use Word 2003 with layering and text boxes to put the articles together using Issue 8's format that would be helpful. I have an email out to Bill, let's see if he has time to finish up Issue 9. He is by far the guru of this project. |
elpotof August 26, 2008 - 6:59am | an alternative would be to use quark express ( which I have) for putting together the article. If you want me put together the magazine, let me know and I'll advise accordingly on emials, etc. |
Rum Rogue August 26, 2008 - 7:10am | I have Word 2007. There will be some compatability issues. Not to mention I have no clue to do what you stated. I will fiddle with it. See if I can come up with something. Time flies when your having rum. Im a government employee, I dont goof-off. I constructively abuse my time. |
Gergmaster August 26, 2008 - 7:32am | No you wont have any compatability issues. Word 2007 has a compatability mode which allows you to edit Word 2003 documents. Thats what I was doing. Confucious Says: Man with one chopstick go hungry. Man who eat many prunes get good run for money. Man who live in glass house should change clothes in basement. |
