![]() July 7, 2008 - 4:18pm | My Star Frontiers Campaign was mentioned on the Godzilla Gaming Podcast. If you guys like Podcasts, theirs is tops. Check it out. http://godzillagamingpodcast.libsyn.com/index.php?post_id=354639&comments=on At least I got to scare an alien rabbit thingy...... |
![]() July 7, 2008 - 7:28pm | I listened to the entire podcast and didn't hear any mention of Star Frontiers. If you wish to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe. -- Carl Sagan |
![]() July 8, 2008 - 9:39am | . At least I got to scare an alien rabbit thingy...... |
![]() July 8, 2008 - 7:31am | I didn't say that they mention Star Frontiers. I said that they mentioned my Star Frontiers campaign. They did provide a link to my game report at this site. I thought it might get more people to show up to this site. I thought that people would be glad that this site is getting exposure elsewhere..... At least I got to scare an alien rabbit thingy...... |
![]() July 8, 2008 - 12:43pm | I didn't say that they mention Star Frontiers. I said that they mentioned my Star Frontiers campaign. They did provide a link to my game report at this site. You said, "My Star Frontiers Campaign was mentioned on the Godzilla Gaming Podcast." That implies it was mentioned in the podcast itself, because you didn't say otherwise. ![]() I thought that people would be glad that this site is getting exposure elsewhere..... It will. I think it did. We are. At least, I know I am. You just should have said "link on the site", because your words implied otherwise. ![]() I poked around their site a bit but didn't see any link. I'm probably blind; could you point it out? If you wish to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe. -- Carl Sagan |
![]() July 8, 2008 - 1:03pm | If you follow the link http://godzillagamingpodcast.libsyn.com/index.php?post_id=354639&comments=on In the show description it has the link. At least I got to scare an alien rabbit thingy...... |
![]() July 8, 2008 - 2:28pm | The link is the word 'link' in bold in the second paragraph. It definitely doesn't stand out but that is just their website style making it not obvious. Ideally they would have made the words "Chris Harper's game report" the link instead of just the word 'link'. Ad Astra Per Ardua! ![]() July 8, 2008 - 3:26pm | And there it is! Sheesh, I must be blind. Definitely a good way to get the word out. If you wish to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe. -- Carl Sagan |
July 8, 2008 - 7:58pm | We should do our OWN podcast radio show!!! How does one go about doing this? |
![]() July 8, 2008 - 8:39pm | That's not a bad idea. At some level you just need a way to record your voice. I listen to a computer one where they record their phone conversations over skype and then do a little post processing to get the sound cleaned up. Ad Astra Per Ardua! ![]() July 10, 2008 - 4:11pm | Maybe we could even play a couple games via podcast.... "You're everything that's base in humanity," Cochrane continued. ![]() July 13, 2008 - 6:28pm | How does one go about doing this? You can do it a number of ways. The best way is using GarageBands website called gcast.com. You can set it up just like a podcast, but you do it all over your cell phone of by putting together different tracks made on your own equipment. From there you can have it put on the podcast lists of itunes. But I suggest doing a dry run before putting together an actual episode. Confucious Says: Man with one chopstick go hungry. Man who eat many prunes get good run for money. Man who live in glass house should change clothes in basement. |
July 14, 2008 - 8:18am | I have an excellent freeware program called Audacity that is really cool and has a file conversion to standard sound types. It also has basic editing features. I HIGHLY recommend it. Maybe Bill could set aside a portion of the site for them? In terms of topics: I think a review of the past Frontiersmen all the way back from #1 would provide good material. Then also some email Q&A, similar to those Goblin dudes. And then maybe some adventure ideas or something... Any other suggestions? |
July 14, 2008 - 8:42am | Any ideas for a cool name for the cast? I'll just go generic for now... But we should come up with something cool. |
![]() July 14, 2008 - 9:20am | I wouldn't mind getting invoved in this and I could host the podcasts on my site as well, especially if Bill has storage or bandwidth limitations. I'll have to think about name ideas. Everything coming to mind at the moment sounds lame or cheesy. Ad Astra Per Ardua! July 14, 2008 - 10:04am | I just recorded a cool intro... So we are on our way! |
![]() July 14, 2008 - 10:18am | Sounds like a great idea guys. I'd like to help. Just don't know a dang thing about podcasting. At least I got to scare an alien rabbit thingy...... |
![]() July 14, 2008 - 11:45am | Oh hell, sign me up. I don't know what I can do to help, but I'd love to. If you wish to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe. -- Carl Sagan |
July 14, 2008 - 2:24pm | Well guys, There's really nothing to get involved with, other than maybe submitting questions or ideas. I got it covered. The first installment is ready. Larry - do you have any space? I'm just going to review the Frontiersman issues first, going all the way back to #1. |
