SmootRK May 1, 2008 - 11:53am | Bill, you and your family have my most sincere condolences on the loss of your loved one. In recent times I have also experienced my share of grief (along with my family)... so I wish you all well, and assurance that with some time things will get better than they seem right now. peace <insert witty comment here> |
Imperial Lord May 1, 2008 - 12:23pm | My prayers are with you and your family, Bill. Hang tough and come back to us when you are ready. |
Gullwind May 1, 2008 - 7:05pm | My condolences also. I've worked in the funeral industry and I've seen firsthand how difficult the arrangements can be. I really hope everything is arranged, but it does no good if your family doesn't know about it. It will all work out Bill. I have no doubt of that. Be strong for your wife. She'll need a lot of support from you. Scott "Rome didn't build an empire by having meetings. They did it by killing those who stood in their way." |
CleanCutRogue May 1, 2008 - 7:58pm | Update: all is working itself out fine. He left behind just enough money to cover all of his debts and all of his expenses of his funeral. I'll be spending the weekend in my old hometown, and I'm sure it will be an emotional time for many. I personally have no real emotional attachment to the man, but I still get all weird and introspective whenever I'm around death. I hate to be reminded I'm not immortal... ya know? 3. elpotof May 2, 2008 - 5:16am | Bill, I'm like you when it comes to death; concentrate on how the person lived, not how they are now. However, it is very east to say these words, whereas the reality is quite different. I suppose we have - and I believe will always have - difficulty in dealing with this unknown. Is it the end, or the end of the beginning (or the beginning of the end?). Ultimately, we all have to make this choise individually, and respect how others deal with their choice. I wish you and your family all the best over this difficult time. |
