 February 22, 2008 - 3:18pm | In an effort to get this game moving again, have you guys started the Groth battle yet? I haven't seen any posts about it. I'm assuming you haven't. The following is based on that assumption. If you have, disregard the stuff below and let me know. Let's try this one PBP (even a turn every other day is faster than the current rate  of game play). I'll take the Milita ships and the station. Here are my starting positions. (click on the image for the full size view) The ships are all moving at a speed of 10. Locations: Object - hex Planet - 2820 Station - 2720 Frigate - 2826 AS1 - 2525 AS2 - 2526 AS3 - 2527 Tell me where you want the Sathar ships to start and I'll add them to the map. Ad Astra Per Ardua! The Fromeltar Militia have blasted one of his fighters (blew up after a fire) and he has hit 2 of the Assault Scouts hard and really messed up the Frigate. I have all the stats for the battle. Do you want me to post them here? |

February 22, 2008 - 10:47pm | The Battle of Groth is over. The Fromeltar Militia is destroyed. Beam battery fire roasted the Frigate and one Assault Scout as they tried to flee, and the other two Assault Scouts were hunted down and wiped out by Sathar fighters after being raked by beams. BUT - the brave Dralasites managed two lucky Laser Battery hits from their Assault Scouts! One lit a fire on a Sathar fighter, which then was consumed in the flames. Another was cut in two just as the fighter was making an Assault Rocket run while chasing down the Assault Scouts. Their noble sacrifice will be remembered forever by the plastoid citizens of Fromeltar and the whole UPF. Overall, I would have like to have salvaged something, but hey - at least we scragged two Fighters! |
