Shadow Shack December 10, 2007 - 6:24am | So does "Basic Rules Revisited" make for a suitable name? There has been a suggestion or two along the way so far, such as "Basic++" and a shortened "Basic Revisited". How about "Basic 2.0"? Any other suggestions? |
w00t (not verified) December 10, 2007 - 10:32am | Basically Advanced is my vote. Midpoint Basically Speaking Not Redux Redux Done Correctly Remux BA AB Port Loren, the Rules What the Basic? ADB - Alpha Dawn Basic Basic + Basically SF 1.5 (Star Frontier One Dot Five) ...this list goes on and on. my vote is Basically Advanced |
Corjay (not verified) December 12, 2007 - 10:24pm | I think "Advanced" in the name is too strong. The concept here isn't an "advanced" Basic, but a "complete" basic. That being said, I suggest "Complete Basic". Please, let's completely avoid the term "redux" or anything suggesting a recognition of anything associated with it. The term "Redux" means "reduced", and neither that project nor this one, is actually reducing anything. |
Shadow Shack December 12, 2007 - 10:47pm | So no votes for "Zebulon's Guide to Advanced Basically Expanded Frontier Space?" I like Complete Basic or some variation of that. Perhaps "Basically Complete" |
jaguar451 December 12, 2007 - 11:21pm | Standard, Normal, Average rules. Hey, it's between Basic and Enhanced, although it has it's own baggage, implying that these are the regular rules? The tech based versions: "Basic 2.0", "Online Basic", Complete Basic has a certain ring to it, although the words to seem mutually exclusive. Basic Expanded I've always been bad at naming..... |
Corjay (not verified) December 12, 2007 - 11:37pm | I don't think they're mutually exclusive at all. "Complete" means that it is whole or finished. Basic means that it is simple. Simple does not mean incomplete. "Enhanced Basic" sounds fine too. |
