CleanCutRogue November 18, 2007 - 10:08am | Anyone interested? I pulled issues 1 through 6 together and put them in an orderable softcover book. It looks pretty darned good, and you can actually have it for reference in your hand at the gaming table. http://www.lulu.com/content/1447800 I didn't mark it up so it's really inexpensive. $8.77. The cover is color (and looks pretty darned snazzy!!) and the pages are black & white. The original six issues are collected as they are today, unmodified. This really shows the evolution of the first six months of the Star Frontiers revival! I'm ordering mine today. We'll do this again in 6 more issues :) I'm curious who else is interested in this... reply to this post to let me see interest? 3. We wear sungoggles during the day. Not because the sun affects our

Gergmaster November 19, 2007 - 2:37pm | I'll try get a copy but it depends when I can get around to it. Confucious Says: Man with one chopstick go hungry. Man who eat many prunes get good run for money. Man who live in glass house should change clothes in basement. |
Corjay (not verified) November 19, 2007 - 3:00pm | I'm a little worried of the legal ramifications, but otherwise, I'm interested, but I don't have a credit card or a bank account, so ordering will be a little old fashioned for me (i.e., slow and uncertain). |
CleanCutRogue November 19, 2007 - 5:21pm | What legal ramifications? It's fan-generated material for private consumption by a dedicated small group of fans at no profit with clear credit given to any derived work... I just don't see any legal ramifactions. WOTC received copies of issues 1-4 PRIOR to my updating them with original and approved art. They didn't say a thing... so I'm certain that we're totally fine. 3. We wear sungoggles during the day. Full Bleed November 19, 2007 - 5:46pm | Since it's a not-for-profit, I think that few people would take much issue with the "copyright." This ultimately isn't much different than printing it out yourself... just a slightly better package. And I would like to think that the price is not prohibitive to people that are actually using the material. Heck, it's less than the cost of going to a movie! But, speaking for myself, I'm hoping that at some point in the future a more organized collected edtion that is more "game specific" material (i.e. all equipment being in one section and extraneous articles not related to game-play left out, etc.) will be put together. And I'd like it color with a hard cover. Would probably push the price over $30, but that would be really impressive and durable. Maybe after issue 10... ;) |
TheWebtroll July 29, 2008 - 11:27am | Any plans on doing a 10 issue hard copy? I very interested in getting this, and 10 is such a beautiful round number. :) The Webtroll ~Living UNDER the Information Super Highway |
w00t (not verified) July 30, 2008 - 8:31pm | Any plans on doing a 10 issue hard copy? I very interested in getting this, and 10 is such a beautiful round number. :) I believe there will be every 6 issues. Perhaps a 12 issue hardcover, but with the loss of the orginal Word docs from Issue 1-6 I doubt it. :-( |
Gergmaster July 31, 2008 - 3:28pm | Hey why not do a special edition of 12 issues. Redo what was done using the PDFs. Confucious Says: Man with one chopstick go hungry. Man who eat many prunes get good run for money. Man who live in glass house should change clothes in basement. |
