Basic Scenario: The characters will serve as boarding party members aboard the CMS Falcon, an assault scout that serves under the Clarion Royal Marines in the White Light system. This game will Parallel the events in SF/KH:0 "Warriors of White Light" although the scenarios will be entirely different.

Please submit characters in this thread. I encourage you to utilize the Online Character Generator ( http://starfrontiers.us/character ) for drumming up a basic character. Remember, basic rules do not mention transferring points from one ability to the other, so keep the pairs matched. Anyone that needs a refresher of the Basic Rulebook check out this link: http://www.starfrontiers.com/rules/

Anyone needing a refresher of the Clarion Royal Marines background is encouraged to browse through this link: http://www.starfrontiers.com/modules/ (read all you want...after all none of those events will be portrayed here as that game takes place on the Falcon's sister ship, the CMS Osprey...)

Your characters each get one Standard Equipment Pack and 2000Cr to purchase gear from the following list here: http://starfrontiers.us/node/1931

Evening all.  Since I will be joining in the next game, just thought I would intro myself.

So, yep.  Here I am.  Long time PnP gamer and web lurker so this will be my first foray into the world of online interactive tableless play.

It sounds like you are having fun, so now is as good a time as any to see how it all works.

I like what W00t did for Slade's character sheet, so I updated mine to be similar.... Hopefully make tracking easier.

BTW, were we going to implement any sort of +5 or so for activities within ones PSA? (W00t and I now include 'to hit' in our character sheets....)

Also, on the equipment page, you list the ranges for all items other than Grenades.... Use default ranges? PB/SM/L/E: -/5/15/25/50m ?

I'll be applying PSA bonuses as the game progresses...Tichat-Ka recieved a bonus when he was attempting to bypass the doorlock in the recent game. The standard bonus will be a +5/10/15 depending on the difficulty of the task.

I updated the equipment list, click on the DOCUMENT tab above to access it (in Basically Speaking). You will note that the new toolkits allow for bonuses in some cases, in conjunction with the PSA bonuses.

Your characters received 3000Cr and 3 ability points (I see Tichat-Ka, Johann, and Slade have already utilized said points). Newcomers that just participated in the most recent game will recieve 1500Cr and 2 points (as they weren't involved int he prior game), these points may be used to increase any ability pair of your choice. I.E. you may use the two points to increase a STR/STA:45/45 to 47/47, you may also split them up on the other three pairs if you like so that a 2 point gain changes a STR/STA:45/45 and DEX/RS:45/45 to 46/46 each.

Recovered goods from the most recent game include the following:

7 Skeinsuits (1 dralasite; 3 human-1 new, 2 -1 hit each; 3 yazirian, 2 -2 hits, 1 -1 hit)
2 AlbedoSuits (2 vruskan, new)
2 Laser Pistols (18ch each)
3 Automatic Pistols (all half empty)
3 Gyrojet Pistols (2 w/9 rounds, 1 w/7)
3 StunSticks w/full powerpacks
3 Laser Rifles (1 w/19ch, two empty)
2 Gyrojet Rifles (empty)
2 Automatic Rifles (empty)
1 Electric Sword w/full powerpack
9 PowerPacks
9 BulletClips
3 JetClips

Take what you want from that list and the rest can be sold and/or stashed in the Falcon's locker.

With the accumulated used ammo packs so far, you may "merge" any that you have (re: 2 half empty bulletclips can be merged into one, a 15ch powerpack can be charged to full with a 5ch pack, etc). Ditto for armor...a 9 point albedosuit can be brought back to full capacity with the pieces from a 1 point suit, etc. Any unused points/charges/bullets etc can be saved for future replacement.

How will those of us with Military PSA's get bonuses? Do you have some examples?

Slade trades in one of his Gyrojet's for an Auto pistol and uses his creds to purchase an albedo screen and power beltpack.

Recoverd goods
1 Automatic Pistols
3 BulletClips

Trade In
1 Gyrojet Pistols

Purchase
1 Albedo Screen
1 Power Beltpack

Danyon does the following:

Purchase:

4 x Tangler Grenades = 100cr
IR Goggles = 300cr
4 x 50g charges Tornadium D-19 = 200cr
4 x Variable Timers/Detonators = 20cr

Trade/Arrange:

Takes 1 round out of the gyrojet pistol with 7 to replace the one shot he fired.

Then he gets all OCD like a Vrusk he recently met. He removes all jetclips, powerpacks and bulletclips from the pistols and rifles and combines them into the following:

5 jetclips full (plus whatever Slade placed in here, if he did)
1 jetclip with 4 rounds
11 powerpacks full
1 powerpack with 15 charges
7 bulletclips full (assuming Slade took 3 of them)
1 bulletclip with 10 rounds

So the weapons are empty now, with the exception of the stunsticks and electric sword.

First and foremost - it was just brought to my attention that there may be some confusion on the next play date. Some of that confusion is on my part...for whatever reason I agreed to play on a day where I'll be at work (December 15th is a Saturday) so that isn't going to be happening since we have no computers in my department, and I doubt I'll catch a four hour break to use the one that is available LOL

So basically speaking (arrr arrr arrr!) we're back to square one for the next date. Tenatively I'm off Wednesdays and Thursdays for sure, although as we get closer to Christmas I'll probably be getting an extra day off or two along the way but for now Wed/Thursday is garaunteed. So with that in mind...what date is good for you guys?

Update Two --- Johann, Slade, & Tichat-Ka each recieved 3 points to apply towards ability improvements, Danyon and Gret recieved two. This is due to two total sessions played, so the latter two recieved half the total amount rounded up. Ditto on monetary rewards. Ability improvements are for the pair, and you can divide them among several pairs so for example one point can go to STR/STA (raising a 45/45 score to 46/46) and another to DEX/RS or INT/LOG or PER/LDR, or you can simply dump them all into one pair.

PSA:Military bonuses --- These will be applicable for hairy situations, such as helping out on a difficult shot that has multiple penalties (target with hard cover while shooter is running, etc). It will also negate the penalty incurred with heavy weapons, which will be released later on (rocket launcher, heavy laser, recoilless rifle, etc). Glad you guys like the list updates. I'm working on robots & computers at the moment...

As I recall, W00t can't do Wednesdays, and I think our original thought was to try to do the First and Third Thursdays.... (12/6 and 12/20 being the dates in December.)

With the number of folks that we have, it is more likely that one person will be out for whatever reason.... Should we play even if 1 (2?) players can't make it (other than SS...), with their character to be an NPC or in sick bay?

Otherwise, games might be infrequest and/or a lot of date checks....

I'd vote to play if only one (2?) can't make it -- I think I'm out the first week in January, and no problem for someone to play Johann (the ascerbic EMT type....) ;-)

Daynon has altered his attributes to reflect the 2 point gain in an effort to aid in grenade accuracy.

Thursdays are fine for me, Christmas time will result in a week away visiting family though.  I am on leave from 15 Dec to 7 Jan so I am pretty open during these dates.  In the post 7 Jan, again Thursdays are best and Tuesday nights are right out.

I have no problem with being NPC'd if I am unavailable for a session or even temporarily assigned to another ship/duty to maintain story continuity.  I also agree that with a larger group, it is likely that at least one of us will be absent at most sessions.

12/6 works for me as would any other thursday.

I'm okay with hosting minimal player participation, although I feel that at least two players (plus the ref) makes for a good game. I don't have a problem NPCing anyone that can't make it, with the active players rolling the dice for said NPC.

As I said earlier, the closer we get to Christmas I'll have more time off so if anyone else is available during those extra days off we can squeeze in an extra session here or there. I could pop into a chat session during such time and even invite anyone there to take over a character whose player is absent at the time, if that's not an issue.

Ok, 12/6 didn't happen.

I see in the gameroom that 12/13 (this Thursday) is listed. I can't make it this week, but folks are free to play Johann.

If anyone is up for a 12/20 game as well, I can make that....

Last week was a short session. In a nutshell, the Falcon Boarding Party tracked down the buyer of the smuggled weapons that the Osprey crew discovered on the Dark Shadow (SF/KH:0 Warriors of White Light).

Almost forgot to post the loot from said mission:

3 Skeinsuits (1 Dral, 1 Vrusk, 1 Yaz)
4 Space Suits (1 each)
1 Albedo Suit (human)
2 Albedo Screens w/beltpacks
2 Inertia Screens w/beltpacks
2 Automatic Pistols
2 Laser Pistols
Portable Computer (TBA, haven't quite gotten that part of the rules down yet LOL Basically it's used for business transactions...we'll just say it has commerce and information storage programs)

Alright, loot.

I would like to grab one of the Albedo Screens w/beltpack if there are no complaints.  Then one of the spacesuits if there are no further complaints.

I cannot guarantee that I will be available tomorrow night as the wife and I are entertaining some guests, holidays and all.

Let's shoot for January 3rd, sit fits the first/third Thursday. Meanwhile I can attempt to whip up an unrelated side adventure for anyone that's available next week (27th).

Yeah, I figured with it not being the 1st or 3rd Thursday I'd do something offbeat for anyone that wanted to play. Especially after I missed last week's session due to being called in to work, having absolultely nothing happen, and going back home to enjoy the rest of my day off LOL

I have to rescind my above statement, I cannot make it tonight.

I was really looking forward to it, but then life stepped in the way.  Rather inconvenient the way it does that at times.

You can put me on guard duty or NPC me, keeping with the spirit of Danyon being an intellectual master of disguise, bad-ass and disliker of the Royal Guard.

Slade will unjam the auto pistol (for whoever or to sell).
He's like that, never let a good gun down.

I don't think we have been keeping track of ammo...but let's throw that in the locker besides the 4 bullet clips I grab. Slade likes to spray. He likes to spam too but that's another topic.

Were an XP issued for "The Sting"?
Will we continue with assaulting the Rogue Scout Ship or just keep assaulting root-beer?
