Support section should be sortable or have sub-sections.

I think the support section should be broken into subsections so open issues are separate from resolved issues or at least make it so that we could list only one type and not the other.

The way it is now makes it difficult to find if an issue one discovers has been reported yet.

For example, I was going to report the problem with over-sized images breaking out of a post box (http://starfrontiers.us/node/1777#comment-2203) but really didn't feel like wading thought all the pages of issues (especially since manny of them are categorized at resolved.)

This might be hard to do, but Bill can better address issues like this if they are in the Main Support Forum.

Guess I'm confused about what's a "support" issue and what goes in the "website discussion" section.

Support Issue - Something is broke
Website Discussion - what you are currently doing :-)

I use the Support Issue as "Feature Requests".
Examples:
Feature request - Quick PM - add link in PM
Feature request - add link in PM's for project announcements

Yes, feature requests go in the Support Issues. What you're doing for website development, such as a web-based application or sorting projects, etc. goes into the website discussion (Maybe even for troubleshooting when you don't know what you want). The Website Discussion forum won't see much traffic because of its nature, but the Support forum is where you go when you want to see something affecting the starfrontiers.us coding. Something you need/want Bill to take action on.

Full Bleed: I know what you mean. I first didn't have a support issue system. I just used this forum for discussing issues with the testers. But as time went on, I realized a construct for cataloging them might be helpful, so I made the support issue tracking system. Then folks liked it so I allowed it in individual projects too. You may notice some projects sport a Support tab.

You can filter the list, but a simple solution is a categorized search. Let's say you want to look to see if there are any support issues that have the word "images" in it. You would use the Search box located in the top of the site and search for something like:

type:issue images

and hit enter in that box. It will list all Issues (from all projects) that include the word "images" in it.  Issues that are part of a project are listed as such.  In the example output below, none of the issues that include "images" in the description or discussion are related to a project (they have '--' for Project column).

Full Bleed - or anyone else who likes the idea - If you'd like a localized search box in the Support system so you don't have to type "type:issue" then please request it in the Support Issues page :)
