Corjay (not verified) October 16, 2007 - 3:08pm | Perhaps the pages of the Star Frontiersman is the best place to do that (as long as the original authors are given credit. Simply putting "Adapted by..." doesn't quite do it for me and completely robs the original author. Both the author and the magazine should be credited), as the article "The Ul-Mor" has already been remastered in the Star Frontiersman. The East Indiaman Class Medium Freighter has also been remastered. |
elpotof November 14, 2007 - 3:01pm | i agree - with corjay on this one. The original author/ magazine should be credited fully. It's still intellectual property at the end of the day. Although these articles could be issued through the starfrontiersman, would a compendium of all these articles prove useful? Bill mentioned this idea previously, and it would save shuffling through a number of magazines. I don't mind kicking this off - i have the software to convert pdf - word and so on, so it shouldn't take too long. |
Corjay (not verified) November 14, 2007 - 4:38pm | I compiled all the covers for all the issues just yesterday (which means I also have the exact issue numbers and dates for all articles), because I've planned on doing a remastering of the issues. But it will be a while before I can get to it. Not until January anyway. |
pineappleleader March 8, 2009 - 8:00pm | This is a great idea. Was this ever done? |
w00t (not verified) March 11, 2009 - 9:22am | This has not been done and is open to anyone up to the task. Most of us use the PDF download containing scans of all the Dragon/Ares articles for Star Frontiers. It's located on starfrontiers.com |
w00t (not verified) January 4, 2010 - 9:01am | Per this discussion Refer to: Remastered Dragon Articles you can download a zip file of past articles in the Port Loren Public Library download section. If you are working on an article please post here (I guess?) so we don't duplicate efforts. When done post the Article Name / Status or send the complete version to Submissions@StarFrontiersman.com to be included in the webzine. Thanks! Yachts and Privateers Return -- Completed |
w00t (not verified) February 9, 2010 - 10:52am | I'm finished with Yachts and Privateers Return. Please review and let me know if there are any suggestions to add to the article. Download here Anyone want to work up some chits like these? And/Or work up a Knight Hawks scenario? |
