Crowns: originally Crowns Sterling but now just Crowns. A strong currency backed by the mineral wealth of Clarion.

Minotaur Credit: informally refered to as "Bulls". This is the weakest currency due to being backed by the "good faith and credit"of the Minotaurian government.

Stellar Creds: these are essentially casino chips but have been popular in trade and are treated as a barter currency.  They also are popular in shady, grey, or black business dealings.

Hexagons: this is the currency of vrusk of Terledrom and is used by all vrusk and dralasites in the Frontier. It currently is the strongest currency.

 Crowns  BullsStellar Cred  Hexagons
Crowns  1.0 0.5 0.7 1.2
 Bulls 2.0 1.0 1.4 2.4
 Stellar Creds 1.4 0.7 1.0 1.7
 Hexagons 0.8 0.4 0.6 1.0

Converting currencies: find the currency you wish to convert at the top of the table and follow DOWN the column to the currency you wish to convert to and use the multiplier to multiply the amount of currency you are converting. Most financial institutions assess a 5% fee for currency conversion. Businesses like to assess a 10% fee by custom. Some shady, grey, or black market businesses might demand as high as 20-25% but this could be subject to negotiation and haggling.
I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers!

Crowns: dangerous to counterfeit due to aggressive law enforcement by the crown
Bulls: easiest to counterfeit despite modern anti counterfeit technology. Which is to say it is a challenge to counterfeit them but they still are easiest.
Stellar Creds: difficult to counterfeit as each has a unique registration number imprinted at molecular level. Corporate casino security will come down hard on anyone passing counterfeit Stellar Creds in a casino or resort facility

Hexagons hard and dangerous to counterfeit. Terledrom security forces treat counterfeiting of hexagons with the same penalty as smuggling (death). Older hexagons don't have the following feature and this makes them prised. Newer non electronic hexagon credits, properly used record all transactions in a linear readable history but these are proving unpopular

I would expand the Stellar Creds to have microchips embedded within to prevent countfeiting. Modern casnios practice this with their high dollar chips ($25K chocolate chips and some houses are chipping their $5K chips as well).
I'm not overly fond of Zeb's Guide...nor do I have any qualms stating why. Tongue out

I assume there are numerous ways that future tech tries to fight counterfeiting but interesting thst this is done - probably not surprising as they chip dogs don't they?
