The Dastardly Plot of Sathar Clan X by Joe Cabadas involving the "laser-slave" sathar device. needs art and illustration 2. Sathar Ships of the Frontier- a short history of sahtar naval action in the Frontier 3 pages and listing info from all canon sources. needs art and illustration but not going to be a problem since we have a lot on file. 3. Stalked by Death- a review of the quickdeath, how it was used in canon sources, referee advice on how to better employ the creature and player advice on how to kill it. One illustration already. 4. Variant Quickdeaths by Tom V and Tom S. Will need new drawings Not part of the theme but slated for issue 25: A. Gliding article by Joe Cabadas has 2-3 potential illustrations already. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |

March 5, 2019 - 3:02pm | 12 pages of sathar content (these are the revised page counts figured at 950 equals 1 page in layout) 4 pieces of sathar art non sathar themed article : Gliding and radiation article - gliding is 2 page with 2 art and radiation is either 6 or 10 pages and 1 art Joe if you pop over to frontier explorer site and log in go to sumissions enter 25 in the issue field and hit return and it will/should show you the 9 things I've flagged for issue 25 I believe you should be able to see what i see there. there is a chance that we may bump gliding or radiation to issue 24 if they need filler. for that issue. I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers! |
March 5, 2019 - 3:19pm | Brian P has supplied a 1 page count article of a sathar bio-engineered creature and a bit of art work with it. This means we will have 4 different contributors with a 5th expected in KRingway that's only a consideration in that you dont want the magazine to be only one author and we're looking good here. can expect iggy/eric with a jurak hangna, Az gamer with comics, laura, shadowshack and shane winter are possibilities but for sure we have a projected 7 authors and we should probably mark shadow down as a contributor for 25 although I'm tempted to hold his two newest submissions for 26 as I have a bit of proto theme perculating in my head. two artist are working on potential covers which means the non cover becomes a splash page intro to the theme or a splash page for a major article. Although the closest thing to a major article is radiation. My incomplete WoWL article that was a royal marine rescue of a misjumped ship in an uncharted system had a feature of a sathar destroyer also happened to have visited this system and suffered the same fate of the ship the RM are looking for. The RM assault scout detects that sathar destroyer on radar by chance/[cough] referee fiat and the destroyer episode becomes a bit of foreshadowing bad stuff happens in this system and you better do your job and get out of Dodge fast. the sathar atomic drives will be damaged and heading toward self destruct so the PCs can explore the ship a little, learn about the threat in system and then have to get off and away from the sathar destroyer once they learn its going to blow. this adventure fits the sathar theme in indirectly and gives us a WoWL 2.0 series article as well. so we're getting there on 25 and 24 isnt even out yet.
